Hi all, about ten years ago I had an effect called 'Haunted Padlock', which was essentially a self-opening padlock, used together with the Haunted Key routine. It was a staple of my close-up act, but sadly was mislaaid in a house-move some years ago. Does anyone know if any delaer still sells this effect? The lock itels was a Yale, and it was a very convincing effect.

Simon Drake makes a great version of it. I like it but would rather a modern verson if I were to use it. But check it here.
http://www.houseofmagic.co.uk/shop/padlock Also othere have spoke about it in the Café http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......forum=14 I don't know how much you know about Simon Drake but he is not only a great magian performer but and great creater as well. Along with his knowlage of magic history he is also a great crafts man making great little automata modles.
Enjoy your magic,

Around a $100.00 Impossible lock same as Dream Lock only a cheaper copy for $25.00 No lock like you describe is available, so much as I can find. No mention of a Haunted Yale Padlock. |
