That's almost as weird as the laser obstacle course chess used once in "Big Bang Theory."

Surprised no one mentioned Golf. Often being left on your honor of not improving your lie or the finding of an errant shot.

Professional hockey,

Hear me out.

Yes it has a LOT of hitting, fighting and such between the whistles. But when a playoff series is over EVERY player is lined up to shake hands and congratulate the winner. Watch game 7 some time of a series. They line up and actually shake hands and congratulate the winners.

I say soccer still qualifies as well.

It is easy to sit in judgment and pick out certain plays or players but in general many sports qualify.

I would qualify that with competition shooting. And sporting clays. And bird hunting with very expensive "gentlemanly" shotguns is quite popular in the UK I believe.

My neighbor rang my doorbell at 2:30 a.m. this morning, can you believe that, 2:30 a.m.!? Lucky for him I was still up playing my drums.

Rugby. Ironic as it may seem

Rugby is not a gentlemanly sport.

It's a hooligan's sport, played by gentlemen.

Ah, but the OP asked for gentlemen's, as opposed to gentlmanly sports!

The yin to that yang would of course be football (the one that uses the feet) - a gentleman's sport, played by hooligans!

Stabbing's gentlemanly. That's how people got killed with rapiers and small-swords back in the dueling times. Smile
