BTW: 200,000 is not a great number? It's not "Frampton Comes Alive", but it's not peanuts, either.

Does anyone around here remember Peter Frampton?

:jump:
saw him back in the mid 70s at Pine Knob. Right around the time of Frampton Comes Alive. It may not have come out yet. Those were the days when he still had hair.

I was more into The Sisters of Mercy and Talking Heads in the 80s, though I was in grade school.

Not a huge Sisters of Mercy fan in general, but they have a few *great* songs.
"Torture doesn't work" lol
Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley.

Dominion was on a pretty epic level as well.
I like Marian just because the droniness is funny to me.

I love Siouxsie too. "Cities in Dust" is probably my favorite.

I like this music that's in the OP link. Reminds me of those fun power metal bands like Rainbow or Yngwie Malmsteen's band, kind of.

That's my kind of music...HAIR METAL. Even though Shooting Star has a slightly softer edge, they still rock pretty hard for early 80's. Kinda reminds me of early Tesla.

As an Oldies Radio DJ for 6 years at Oldies 95 in Florida, I constantly played these songs, never thinking about what the singers looked like. I was surprised! Here are a few more:

And, I had NO idea the lead singer of this fantastic group was FEMALE:

Wow Doug that was awesome!!! My wifes favorite Nancy Sinatra, she still knows all the lyrics, all these years later. The 70's a little before my time, but I still know those songs.

I'm more of an 80's guys, but I appreciate the nostalgia of the 70's. I'm currently listening to the "House of Hair".

Thanks for posting.
