I also posted this in the silk section, but this is also the place for it since it uses coins, also. I used to have the Michael Ammar coin DVD's from L&L, but in the process of moving and separating from my wife, they were lost.

I really liked the coins through silk routine, and would like to include it in an upcoming show, but I have long forgotten the moves!

I really want to re-learn the routine, and wonder if anybody here could help me by sharing the file?

I can send you the enhanced version using the TUC if that would help

He has a download video on his site where you can learn that, for four dollars I think it is, or you can go to lybrary.com and get Encore 3 or 8.95 and learn that plus lots of other good stuff.

I'm not sure if the files would play on my I-phone. (It's all I have right now. I no longer have access to a home p.c.

The only site where I can successfully watch videos is Penguin. No troubles there. But when I go to Ellusionist, for example, I can't get their videos to play for anything. I end up wasting my money there, because they don't give me a refund

So I'm leery of Michael's site, because I'm not sure if I'll get burned again.

Hi Doug, TUC is a coin gimmick: http://www.vanishingincmagic.com/magic/c......te-coin/ It was a nonsequitur offer; but, hey, free forum.

If you're talking about the trick with 3 coins and a see-through silk and you're still trying to remember it, feel free to PM me.

nope - a real offer. The use of the TUC greatly enhances this amazing routine. The original is brilliant but has limitations.

If you get the original instructions you may still wish to explore my version. If you prefer the enhanced version you don't need the original.

This is a great effect
Michael Ammar's strolling version is very well designed and entertaining but the silk has to be reopened after each passing
Chris Powers also has a fantastic strolling version where it's not necessary to reopen the silk at every stage.
I don't know David Neightbors' version, but knowing a lot of his other work, it must also be very deceptive
Al Schneider also has a tabled version where, since the coin can be seen through the silk, it's not necessary to open the silk after any coin passage.
I share Funsway's conviction that, as per his book "T.U.C. Appreciation" (p 281), Mr Tango's TUC can supply an improvement in any such routine, no matter how clean the routine already is.

Since writing the Book I have added a further enhancement -- all three phases are executed in a different spectator's hand.

1) Phase One (3 coins): I fold the sack and lay on their palm where they can see and touch the coins. I remove the sack and leave one coin on their palm.

2) Phase Two (2 coins): they spread the scarf over their palm and fold over the two placed coins to grasp as a bag under their thumb. I twist the sack to "make more secure." They see and feel both coins on their palm. They massage the sack and one coin melts through.

3) Phase Three (one Coin): either suggested ending with the coin/scarf held in another spectator's fingers.

While some of the etherial feeling of the coin dissolving through the material is lost, the benefits of "in their hands" is profound -- and "the story told after" by onlookers is incredible.
