I've been lurking on the Café for about a month and finally decided to jump in and start asking questions.I'm interested mostly in close up. Coins, impromptu with everyday objects and some card work. Two of the performers I like are Greg Wilson and Matthew Johnson.

Yes, I have a small collection so far. It includes Jay Noblezada "In the Beginning There Were Coins" DVD, Bobo's Modern Coin Magic, 101 Amazing Card Tricks by Bob Longe and Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic.

Welcome, I am new here myself! The first magic book I ever owned was that Mark Wilson book, and it's a wonderful resource!

You might want to check around--maybe on one of the used book sites--for Bill Tarr's NOW YOU SEE IT, NOW YOU DON'T and the SECOND NOW YOU SEE IT, NOW YOU DON'T. These are large format books with wonderful illustrations that will make learning much easier and faster than many others. Have FUN! Julie |

Welcome OldManGloom,
I'm hoping your name is a joke. Otherwise you are missing the real Magic in a positive attitude. I'll see you in the Close-Up fora. -Mary Mowder |
