I'm looking for bands for flippers and folders.
I've seen some orthodontist bands online but I'm bit confused with sizes and strenths. Can anybodsy advise what bands can be used for Hald Dollars and qQuarters (maybe bit smaller than that) ??? |

I can't speak to quarters, but for "traditional" flippers and folders I've been using 3/16ths, with at least medium strength. You want something strong and tight so things snap into place well.
For gravity flippers, 5/16ths, and probably no more than medium strength, as you need a more relaxed fit (though I don't use rubber bands for those at all now). If you can, I'd try to find a local orthodontist's office - they'll often just give you a few of different sizes if you ask nicely. While there pick up a dental dam or two -- they have other magical applications. Also look into latex-free bands -- they should be less prone to rotting over time. |
