I usually don't do New Years Resolutions, but this year I thought it would be fun to start a blog that provided a "Street Performer, Tip Du Jour" one a day for an entire year. Hope you all like it and find an idea or two that might help out in your own pursuits on the streets.

Enjoy!

A great mix of personal experience, advice you been given a visuals of what were all talking about. Something that was said in your getting a crowd post was how you feel it changed. Barking at people might not work as well as it once did. I t would be great to follow up on things that have changed over your years of busking. For example one topic here in the Café cover that people don't carry cash as they once did.

These are just ideas I think what ever you have planed is going to be great thank you for your hard work.
Enjoy your magic,

and let others enjoy it as well!

Wonderful stuff! I hope you also write about the ways of making living on the road work as well as the ins and out of doing shows.

Wonderful Blog.

I live in Northern Manhattan. I started street performing last Summer in Central Park. I have been a children s performer since 2004. Due to the economy I started busking for extra income with no expectations. While last Summer I put my toe in the pool this Spring I plan on giving it all I have.

I have to let go that I started so late in life doing this as I am 50. I have always loved performing. Last year as I was packing up a women came up to me and said,"I loved watching you interact with those kids and family. You really put a smile on my face."

I also had days where I packed up because my energy was BLAH and my head was not in the game.

Anyways thanks for your words of wisdom.

Glad you guys are digging it as I'm living it. It's a roller coaster ride, but a lot of fun. Thanks for tuning in!

Been reading the blog religiously. Always look forward to it and enjoy it.

For some reason, my comments don't show up. Maybe that's a blessing for others...
