Like the title says, tell me the name of someone who was well known at one time (for anything) and has largely been forgotten today.

Joseph Dunninger. Was once one of the most popular radio personalities in America. Virtually unknown to this generation.
Fred Allen would also qualify, I think. And not to forget Julius LaRosa! (Or did you?) |

What if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about?
My neighbor rang my doorbell at 2:30 a.m. this morning, can you believe that, 2:30 a.m.!? Lucky for him I was still up playing my drums. |

My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

Mario Lanza - opera people know him, but he was the #1 Hollywood film star in 1951. Had his own hit radio show, made movies throughout the 50's. Died at 38, though.

We're doing a great job with "forgotten" stars. Without Google I wouldn't know who half these people are.

Ironic, isn't it, that Arthur Godfrey himself now probably qualifies for this topic?

I'd include any TV personalities/stars from the 1960s - 1980s.
