Hi!
I was thinking of ways to combine Marcus Eddies "Loaded" and the "Envylope" trick. I have comed to this idea and I would like you to comment on it and mention any downsides. I would do the Envylope (red cards) as normally, opening a red card box and placing it back to a pocket but not. I would do some kind of switching the gimmick for a normal envylope, but I have not thought this part right out yet. I would not show the cards back in my pocket! After a clean up I would hand out the envylope, ask a person to hold it while I bring out my (Loaded) card box (same design as the first box) saying "Now I will make the envylope transform back to the cards." As I ask them to put the envylope back to the box I am suggesting that the box is empty for the second time. They should remember me getting the cards out from the box in the beginning, so why should it not be empty? Putting the envylope back inside will emphasize this fact, so they should be neither suspicious or in the doubt of the boxs emptiness. After a shake or anything "magic", a gesture - maybe the same magic gesture that changed the cards to the envylope in the beginning - the envylope has dissapeared and turned back to being cards. A afterthought: Maybe the "loaded part" could be a warming up for the envylope effect, as I think the envylope is a even stronger effect and maybe should be warmed up for as it is with strong magic. So it could also go in the other order. First showing a box containing only an envelope. Changing it to the cards by the Loaded change. Now the envylope has dissapeared. You could go right in to the Envylope trick with the gimmick in bottom and now create the same change again. Now just even more visual as it happens right in the hands and with the variation that it suddenly contains the spectators card. So: ENVELOPE --> DECK OF CARDS (change closed, inside box) DECK OF CARDS --> ENVELOPE containing signed card. (change visual, in hands) What do you think about this idea? Is it too much magic combining these effects in one routine? Daniel Composer from Denmark and new to the forum. |

The more I think about it, I prefer my afterthought variation.

I like it. I just have his "empty" though. I need to get loaded as I heard its quite a vast improvement on all levels.
