I love it. Sometimes I just sit around and play with the key for fun. Haven't performed it yet, but maybe playing with it will help when I atually perform it. A must buy if you like mentalism.

I'm confused - you say it is a must-have for mentalists - can you explain? The demo I watched had nothing to do with mentalism, strictly a magic trick. The teeth on the key are moved from one place on the shaft to another - impossible looking, but not mentalism. Did I miss something?

I own both "The Golden Key" & "Kineti-Key Jr." by Viking. In my opinion, the Viking item is a far superior investment...better workmanship & easier to perform.

Pchosse, If you bend a spoon and claim to be a mentalist (like Uri Geller), then we can move the teeth of a key around and also claim that.
All you need to be "mentalist" is a sucker who believes John Edward talks to dead people Jeff |

I own the larger size "Kineti-Key" by Viking and the
"Psy-Key by Viking. In my routine, I do the Psy-Key & then do the Kineti-Key (by sw.....ng) keys. When I just do one effect, I use the "Golden Key".... Beautiful looking in gold, smaller in size, which actually makes it easier to use! Great workmanship and price, which Magic Makers is noted for. I love all three of my keys! By the way, I went to the Himalaya's, studied with the mystics for 30 years...I teleport, make things appear & disappear. If anyone is interested, I'm holding classes coming springtime on the moon. Having said that, moving metal pieces from one place to another has NOTHING to do with mentalism. Like wise, I see no connection between contacting the dead and moving the teeth of a key from one place to another. Now had you said that this key is a must buy for all practitioners of telekenesis, then your statement might have have made sense. However, if you could really perform telekenesis, then you'd probably be making some serious money instead of moving a little piece of metal back and forth on the shaft of a key that opens nothing. Mentalists have a strong MENTAL WILL, therefore have the power to move and bend objects! I also do real magic & will be happy to teach the art of teleportation.

I would not say that this is a piece of "mentalism", but it is great for a Bizarrist.

I just recently bought it along with a double that's a haunted key.I havent had a chance to practice with it yet but I see great potential with the right story.I remeber reading somewhere that a great magician can take a simple effect and turn it into something amazing.

Dorian, I just re-read my post. That Nyqill really must have kicked in when I typed it. (I edited it). The comparisonis that you are affecting the properties of metal, whether it be a key , spoon, etc. I'll bet if Uri designed it he would say he was moving the teeh with his mind.

Hi Jeff,
I still don't think we talking about the same thing. If you touch something with your hands, which in this case you are, because you are moving the tooth of a key down the shaft of the key, then that is not mentalism. (How do you like that for a run on sentence?) Mentalism in its most basic form is the process of extracting some sort of information secretly from another person leaving the impression that you had "read their minds." There is a distinct difference between the two. Best, Dorian Rhodell |

Hello Dorian,
Point well made! But aren't great psychic's able to read minds too? A mentalist can also direct their mental powers to transform matter. No? Gerry. Thoughts Have Wings |

Back on topic,
I have the "Kineti-Key Jr." by Viking. I LOVE it! If the one made by Magic Makers is anywhere near the quality, I say YES! Watching their faces, when they're trying to get that part back where it belongs, cracks me up... If you're going to get that one, get an ungimmicked one to match, that's my only complaint about the Viking...I can't afford the ungimmicked one! Doug |

Dorian,
You said: <If you touch something with your hands, which in this case you are, because you are moving the tooth of a key down the shaft of the key, then that is not mentalism.> Do you think that Uri Geller is not believed to be a mentalist, by the uninformed, because he holds his spoons while bending them the entire time ? (WITH his hands, by the way.) Jeff |
