Just got back from New York and saw this.
Apple is still reviewing the app but they have suspended operations over the holidays so when they resume the approval process hopefully we will be in progress or near the top of the list. Jcss, iOS 8 updates are part of this build being reviewed by Apple. Many people have been able to use iOS 8 devices but it has been inconsistent for others. If you're using iOS 8 and are experiencing problems, then hold on until the next update. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Apple doesn't provide that information. Once it goes in for approval, I just wait until they say 'yea' or 'nay'. The holiday sabbatical makes predicting a specific date even more difficult but when they resume operations, I don't think it will be too long.

I really want this update as well but I am sure Steve will be releasing it soon!

A few days ago Steven wrote in another thread that he has to go to hospital because of his back. I think that is the reason why he doesn't response here.
