Yesterday was Family Literacy Day in my school board and in honour of this parents could read a story to their kid's classes. I agreed to read to my son's kindergarten class. As an icebreaker I snuck in a presentation of Magic Makers' Magic Coloring Book, a trick assembled akin to a Svengali deck and allowing one to flash blank pages, line drawings, and coloured in drawings depending on how one activates the prop. I swear I blew their little minds with what I thought was a pleasant though not astounding trick. They gave me their riveted attention through a longish story. I rapped up with a quick coin bite, but this didn't impress them as much as it seem to make adults queasy--in part because my own child was declaring, "It's a twick coin! It's a twick coin!"
This was my first out of the house presentation of tricks to a group that wasn't my familiar pets. Fun crowd. Les |

Nicely done.

Coloring book is a wonderful and fun trick for the little ones. If there are older kids there, I always look rift at them and say, "this is something for the younger ones here today", with a knowing smile. The message is clear: don't spoil this trick for the little kids.

Great job Les. People were entertained. Just don't ever use 'twick' coins in front of your son again. LOL
