I like it. As you mentioned it might be better with no word/patter
Nice music and simplicity of plot. My brain went to see it as part of a longer piece with the song, Ebony and ivory. The ending being either the coins come together in one hand or As one, molded together. Your video shows another use of crimp. Not just another vanish. From one place comes many Possibilities. Now, if you can just do it in a spectator's hand!
Just kidding -- your beautiful work and contributions always pushed me forward

Quick tricks can always be a good thing. I'm curious though how the silver coin getting slid off the back of the hand is motivated. It seems the method elicits the slide off the back of the hand, but it just doesn't seem natural. Why not just pick the coin up, or have the spectator pick it up?

I used to do something similar, but using thumb clip. I just gave it a go using the crimp and here's what it looks like:
http://youtu.be/cGJlfY7ReH0 Kind of a L'homme Masque load from Crimp and feels slightly more natural. What do people think about removing a coin in that way? Making this I realised I haven't used a retention vanish in ages! |

Yep, I've been doing it sorta like that for years now and mentioned it in the "Fav Quick Tricks" string here.
I put it in print, in my KABOOM! download and called it the, Copper/Silver Twist, mostly because of the slick loading at the end of things. In mine, the "twist" is a quick, flowing action purposely back & forth, that gives a nice magical show of the hands before you expose the perplexing transposition of the two coins.
Also, in the download with several other of my "Quickie-Trickys," I included an explanation video of it and of all the effects with the package. And I'm very proud to say it's still up on Vinny's website, and there's a demo of me doing it there amongst the other effects.
