//MagicWebFX //

Hi guys,

Here is a quick demo of our new App (Release date is very soon) called MagicWebFX by Marc Kerstein, Salah Aazedine and myself.

It is an edited demo not to hide anything but just to get the effect across. The reason is that the actual performance has changed since we filmed this demo. We will be shooting a performance tomorrow and at Blackpool Magic Convention.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9ZxC4Nujko

MagicwebFX

Effect:
Ask a potential client to visit your website on their own phone/computer. You then ask them to name any card, and that card is the only card you are holding in your hand on your website.

MagicwebFX

*Very easy to perform.
*Any card can be named.
*Ingenious method.
*No reset required for next performance.
*No assistant needed.
*Works every time.

Whether you want to perform for friends or your professional performances, MagicwebFX will guarantee a great reaction when you predict/influence your spectators choice of the same card that you are holding in your website.

If you're looking for that special trick to secure an important booking, what better way to do it than involve a prediction on your website.

However you choose to get your spectator to name the exact card you are holding in your website, MagicwebFX will take care of that in a heart beat.

*From the moment they name any card, it will appear on your website almost instantly.

*Method takes 5 minutes to learn.

*Your phone is never in play.

If you have a website, then you are serious about being a magician. If you're serious about being a magician, then your business should be serious too.

Advertise yourself in your performances and direct clients to your business.

Don't get left behind by simply giving your business cards out and hoping, take them to your website during performance. This creates "invested time" and invested time increases your chances of being booked.
*MagicwebFX is a powerful tool to generate business.

*Cleverly direct potential clients to your website.

*Perform a powerful prediction on your website.

*Start getting more gigs now.

Hey Nico.

If the spectator has a device with a javascript enabled browser, the effect will work.
To cue the card as the magician, an iphone or ipod touch will be preferable, with basic alternatives available to android or windows phone users. I hope to have more elegant solutions for these users in time.

To confirm - the spectator's phone can be any iphone, any windows phone, or any android touch screen device. Most modern blackberries will work too.

But I cannot use an android phone to "trigger"?
The ipod would need an internet connection, right?

We'll be launching with an iPhone app only which is used for the trigger. There will be a solution for Android users shortly following launch.
The device you use to trigger will need an internet connection (as will the spectator in order to visit your site).

Does this work with only cards, or can other stuff be revealed?

Mike

You'll have 52 images to use, but the method of coding the image is best suited to cards.

Hi Myke,
Congratulations on your new product.

I'm a little confused . . .

On your bullet points you say:

*Your phone is never in play.
But then later on in this thread you talk about how an app on the magician's phone must be used to trigger.

So, am I correct to assume that the magician must use their phone to trigger the card that will appear on the website?

cheers,
Greg Rostami

Thanks, can we customize the images? For example, if I want to be holding a piece of paper with the number "437", can I do that with this?

Regards,
Mike

I've seen this in action and it's an awesome piece of work and Marc is a true gent in every respect. In the app stakes he is one to keep a very close eye on I know for sure that you will all love his work!

Although I don't know the full methodology behind this, to answer Greg's question I'm presuming you are secretly coding the card with your mobile which is never "in play" ie your mobile is never seen by the spectators at any point during the effect.

The web address is visited on the spectators mobile!

Best Wishes Michael

Hi Greg.

Whilst an app is required, your phone doesn't have to be removed from your pocket to trigger the card, and both of your hands can be visible at all times.
The spectator never sees your device during the effect.

Just for clarity am I right to say that there is no "confederate" inputing the information? It reads like there is not but I wanted to make sure.

This looks great by the way.

Hi Gordon. Thanks! There is absolutely no confederate; the magician does all the work, as am I in the above video.

The last video looks AWESOME!!

I hope I'm not asking for too much but, I would really love to know if the app uses voice recognition in case I'll be performing in loud environments.

If answering that question will expose anything, please feel free to PM me.

thank you,
Greg Rostami
