Am looking for the best version of this. Does anyone have experience with this set: http://www.murphysmagic.com/Product.aspx?id=50743
It looks good on the photos, but was wondering it handles well and is it a version that can be done in intimate surroundings as well as big venues. I've heard that the Harrie's version is the best but they have stop manufacturing it. |

Looks like they are made by Tora Magic in Iran. If is like most their products, they are junk and will not work.

Tora products are not of consistently good quality. The cheap Indian multiplying bottles are not too bad if you want inexpensive.

I always hated vermouth bottles being used. Why would anyone need that much vermouth? It's not like you'll go through much of it, even when serving a big crowd.
Here's a reasonably priced set that makes sense to me: http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S17426 I don't own one, but if it got several good reviews, I'd consider getting a set. |

Taikuutta, a 10 bottle set is very unusual. If you are planning on doing a Ken Brooke - type routine, you need three sets of 3 bottles. It could well be that this is just two sets of 5, which will not work with the Ken Brooke routine. Bill says the sets are made by Tora, and I am pretty sure I've seen another Tora trick that used sets of 5 bottles, so you really need to ask the supplier what the arrangement of the bottles is or you might find that you are unable to do the routine you desire.

Being able to pour liquid out of a bottle into a glass and then continue with the routine, with the FULL glass changing places, is the most important factor for me when picking out a set of bottles. This ability really sells the bottles.

Pouring liquid IMHO is not necessary. If you ever saw Ken Brooke, or nick Lewin and Denny Haney, do the Ken Brooke routine you would see on of the strongest, most entertaining bottle routine ever.

Thank you very much for your comments for our bottles!
Our bottles are free shipping world wide now. We can make special pouring system. After you poured wine into the glass, you can continue the routine. (optional special bottle is required) |

Yes, the Hanada bottles are great, but some serious bucks. Impractical for the majority of workers, but I sure would love a set!!! This set that Taikuutta mentions, http://www.murphysmagic.com/Product.aspx?id=50743 . Would love to hear a review. I don't need "the best" but if they work as good as they look, this set might do the trick for me.

I know this is old thread, but hate to start another bottle thread...Does anyone know if the Hanada bottles are still available? I'm considering purchasing a set of their Extreme Multiplying Bottles, but they have not replied to my email inquiries (also nothing in Spam folder). The email address listed on the website (http://www.magus.tokyo/shop/bottle.html) is: info@magus.tokyo. Does anyone know a different way to contact them? I am not ready to submit an order without some form of communication, and if I had a customer service issue, I'm wondering about them answering emails in a timely fashion - if at all? Thank you

As far as I know, Hocus Pocus is the exclusive distributor of the Hanada bottles in the US, but I can't see them listed on their website at the moment. Try contacting them for details. Hocus Pocus also sell the Donnelly Multiplying bottles. I have set of these and they look beautiful. They also feature the "Ken Brooke" lip, which makes the handling a bit easier.

FWIW, AllanK and rs-magic, and others......the last set of Multiplying Bottles I bought were the Reg Donnelly Multiplying Bottles on the recommendation of my friend, the late Denny Haney.
Denny told me that this set is as good, if not better, then the original set of the Ken Brooke Bottles that he, Denny, at that time, was considering retiring in order for him to use the Donnelly set. As you know, the late Denny Haney was acknowledged as THE Master of performing the Ken Brooke Multiplying Bottles routine and his recommendations really counted. When Denny told you something was GOOD........it was..... |

I have a 9 bottle set that I bought in the 70's from Abbott's, and it came with 4 chrome plated tubes. The tubes nested in pairs and the ending was with having 2 extra tubes. They were anodized spun aluminum and have held up well.

The late great Tom Mullica showed me the Abbott's routine on one of my visits to Abbott's before he became famous. I was really surprised at the climax when he said two tubes and there were 4, two in his hands and two on the table. I really liked that climax, but I went with the set Ken Brooke's Magic Place sold in England.
I thought the metal chrome tubes might scratch the bottles. To bad they don't make their Multiplying Bottles any longer. |

If you are tired of having to perform the Multiplying Bottles with the same type bottles that have been used since the 1800's, even gussied up with new colors and labels, you might want to look into a new concept that allows you to use real bottles with real contents and even real food. It all comes out of an empty paper bag that was folded up in your pocket at the start. Give the tin bottles a rest and exercise your brain to breathe new life into an effect that dates back to the biblical era (loaves and fishes sound familiar?).
That's the description from The Wizards' Journal #22-06 of "Lunch in the Park (Multiplying Bottles Rethunk)" by Professor Spellbinder.
