Thank you guys !

I'm glad you like my work on contact juggling.
I've developped several unique techniques to achieve some magic effects with these huge crystal balls Smile
Some good news are coming as to where and when this act will be presented...

Samantha, thank you for your comment !
Do you use the dynamic back thumb palm yourself ?
Did you find some personal applications ?
On this subject too, some great news are coming soon...
Stay tuned !

One a side note, I would love to perform and lecture in Singapore ^^

My gosh I completely missed this!! Desolé Lawrens!
Yes I do, I've been practising with it a lot. I can't use it the way you do yet but I definitely like it.
It'll be a while before I can tell you what I've done with it, but for now... I do a shortened version of one of your routines - the one where you put the coin through your arm. I do it into my fist and then mime to throw it from my left hand into my right.

Well, I would love to see you in Singapore! There is an IBM Ring here, 115 I believe.
Btw have you seen this? I'm pretty sure you have.

I would love to get into contact juggling at some point, it's so elegant and beautiful.
What is the learning curve like?

Samantha,

Thank you for the link, I love it !
This whole world of object manipulations is fascinating ; eight-rings, iso-hoop, contact balls, and more.
I clearly see some connections with our magical world, it's a work in progress Smile

Thank you also for the IBM Ring info.

Glad to hear that you do a routine with DBTP (Dynamic Back Thumb Palm), I would love to see you doing coin magic !
Between, 2015 should see the launching of Moneypulation vol.2... back thumb palm is now at the core of a complete coin manipulation system ! I'm sure you will enjoy the new ideas and applications.

About contact juggling, the first thing to do imo is to decide what kind of moves you want to perform.
Indeed, we have 4 complementary forms of contact juggling !
So much to learn... so little time... lol !

If you want to learn how to roll a sphere on the whole body, it's called Body-rolling,
If it's more the illusion moves that you're seeking, it's Isolations,
Maybe spinning more than 1 sphere is your thing, then you can learn Multiball,
And if a large number of spheres to manipulate attracts you, then Morphing is the name.
:)

All of these fields can and should be interconnected in some way...

Best advice I can give you : locate the effects that attract you and reproduce them.

Youtube is an awesome source of video, performances and tutorials...

You have some FB groups also :

https://www.facebook.com/groups/434146340059269/

This site is also very useful : http://www.contactjuggling.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

I hope this help !

Wow, thanks!
Yeah... So much to learn, so little time. I don't know what I want to learn specifically yet!
All I know is that it looks gorgeous and like real magic.

I'm definitely going to record myself doing some routines at some point and asking the forum for tips, so... In due time! I'm relatively new to magic still, so gonna take some time to get decent.

Oh wow, all the best and bon courage for the new video! I look forward to it.

If I'm ever around France again, I'll definitely come and watch you.

Thanks for all the info and advice!

Fantastic! That's the kind of thing I love to see done with contact juggling. I remember you mentioning some magic/contact juggling combinations that you were working on and what I see on your demo video is wonderful. Brilliant work.

Thank you !
I remember trying to figure out how you did your wonderful moves from the "old school" videos on contactjuggling.org.
You've been a great influence when I started to learn CJ back in 2006 Smile
I'm glad you like my work !

I'm glad you liked my stuff. I was pretty proud of the productions I had incorporated into the style of contact juggling, though many were not practical at least for the size ball I was using. I had wanted to produce a video of magic with contact juggling as a follow up to my Visual Encyclopedia of Contact Juggling but at the time we were focused on marketing the four volume set and because of the decline in juggling sales across the board and because my videos were pirated so quickly we never went ahead with it. It's too bad as I had a lot of material that would have been of interest. The only move that made it to the encyclopedia videos was the levitation.
