Hello friends.
I am about to do a string of shows at some colleges. I want to open the the show with OLEP. However, I want to find an alternative for the bird so I can take it one planes and what not. Any ideas other than a spectators ring? Any help and ideas would be greatly appreciated! K thanks, Ben Pratt |

I was also thinking about this. I don't want to add more birds to care for. I don't know if that electronic parakeet is effective as well.

Yeah, I agree. I'm not really interested in the fake parakeet. I'm looking for something DIFFERENT. Something else that would seen impossible to be inside of an egg!

Sperris recently (!) wrote that he never had problems transporting his bird(s).
But what about a (fake) mouse, called Mickey.... |

Perhaps a fake mouse would work. Still not sure though. I know that Dan Sperry has traveled all over the place with birds. However, I just want to try and save the headache of traveling far distences with my birds. I want this to be a silent act with music and without the help of an audience member if I could.

I'm still open for other options!

How about a signed card from a previous effect that you tie in?

Borrow a ring and find it in the egg. I use a take on the old Alan Shaxon ring in walnut routine. It is the orange, lemon, egg, walnut, ring routine (OLEWR?). No more difficult than the OLEP routine.

Steve Cohen has a ring into lemon - egg - walnut effect he does. Check youtube with him on Letterman. I believe he uses John Shryock's Ring In Walnut (dvd) for the final part. If you are acquainted in the original OLEP effect you could put a version of this together. However what really sells the original version is the "live bird" from the egg.
