Ok, some time ago I was considering buying a cig thru quarter, because I have a self made cig gaff, but I thought that the gaffed quarter would be better. then I ran into a god send. A cig thru nickel. I was about to book mark the page, when the power went out. Since then I have yet to find it. It is perfect. It destroys the complexity of the new quarters, and everybody carries a nickel. If anyone can tell me where I can get one, I would be VERY appreciative.

One of the first magic props I purchased through a catalog was Abbott's "Pencil through Nickle". For the rather low price, all you got was a nickle with a hole in it, and the suggestion that you practice.
The mention of the efect that you saw might have been something like this. It's not impossible to do a credible job with this sort of gimmick, but it's not something I'd leave up to someone who doesn't have a huge vocabulary of sleights and strategies.
