#69 here in Phoenix. (-------) is my new favorite color. (So as to honor my word not to say anything that would compromise the integrity of the project, will not even mention the color of the book cover.) Thank you, Atlas, and thank you, Seattle Steve - much gratitude to both of you. Will probably log in to the new forum some time tomorrow or next week.

I tried to send you a pm Atlas, but your inbox is full. Popular guy these days!
I have purchased Train Tracking and am waiting for it to arrive. However, in the meantime I would love to experience it first hand the next time you are on skype. Sounds exciting! |

Have had mine already four days, and I have already learned a lot. I can't say I have mastered it in any sense, but I have become able to use it and have fun with it with a few friends and family as I experiment. Also discovered a few tricks/tips with it. Can't wait to share in forum when I am registered.
lovin it...

If you feel it is not for you after reading the material, you can freely say why, but you really need to find out what you are talking about before your opinion is of any value to anyone. I know some have voted to close this thread, but I don't see why it can't remain open. I've read most of the pages in here, debating back and forth, back and forth, if I should purchase it, but eventually (and reluctantly) decided against it because the cost is too much for me personally. Being a hobbyist who admires and appreciates this art, I had to decide that my limited budget would instead go towards The Artful Mentalism of Bob Cassidy Vol. 2 (and then other books later on down the line).
But even though I don't own Train Tracking, I would still like to read the conversation going on about it. Knowing Atlas from his other work, I think this has the potential to be something special, and it is great reading about others' reactions to experiencing and trying to learn it. Since the method takes a considerable amount of effort, and has many layers, I don't believe that exposure should be a problem (and in no way am I endorsing trying to fish for the method). Any method talk should strictly remain in the new TT forum. But please, keep sharing your thoughts on why you like it or don't like it. Post some performances when you do get there, and if somebody would like to try it out on me, I would be a very willing guinea pig as I have yet to experience it. To me it sounds fantastic and the thinking and passion behind it is one of the reasons I love this art. That is why I memorized a stack, learn the peg system and other mnemonic techniques to memorize a random deck of cards, etc. Even if it is work, the payoff is worth it so others can have that moment of astonishment that I've had when I see something amazing. |

If someone uses you as their guinea pig that means they don't know the system the way they should otherwise why would they need to use you. There are plenty of people to experiment with in the user forum. If it were up to me, I'd say to the people that purchased the effect don't ever refer to it as Train Tracking. It's a small club you paid good money to be a member of. Don't be so quick to give it up. There are still some copies left so it's fair game and available to anyone who wants to spend their own hard earned money. |

I FINALLY came home and found my book waiting for me on my bed
Just started reading and it is SOOOO good. Atlas goes through the development of the effect and how it grew over time. I even love the beginning stages of it. If he had sold his first stages of development, people would have been extremely happy to buy it and may have even called THAT the holy grail. But Atlas didn't stop developing. He kept developing and KEPT developing and ended with something phenomenal. This is seriously as close to the real thing as people will ever get. Also, I think I'm learning it at a very good pace. I really think I'll have it all down in a month or so. |

The usefulness of this public thread is diminishing rapidly.
The owners of TT rave about how great it is. A few non-owners complain about all the hype. Meanwhile there are very few copies of TT left for sale. All further discussion of TT should take place in the private TT Owners Forum which now has 94 Posts in 18 Topics by 89 Members. There is no point continuing to talk about TT here because if you don't already own a copy of TT, you're probably not getting one. Therefore, I'd like to see the moderators move this thread to Inner Thoughts or delete it altogether. |

I think some people who have purchased Train Tracking are taking themselves a little too seriously with talk of deleting threads etc. The effect was first promoted on this public forum, it was debated up to its release on this public forum, and if others continue to wish to debate its merits I see no reason why that should not take place on this public forum (as long as the Café rules about debating methods are not broken.)
If it wasn't for the Penny thread many of us would not be alerted to new releases, or be reminded of things we've missed along the way. I for one would hate to see Penny turn into a place where threads are deleted once certain members had got their hands on a product. It smacks of elitism. |

I agree with Martin. This thread has every right to continue to exist.
The only reason any thread ought to be deleted would be due to exposure, and that can only occur when people who own the book unwittingly act in a way that is careless and gives some insight into the method. These exchanges are nearly always the result of interaction with a small group of people who make thoughtless or intentionally uncharitable posts whose real intention is to incite those who actually are aware of the method to engage in an argument wherein proofs are required by the ignorant and they are self-righteously supplied by those who should know better. Bit by bit, the exposure becomes complete and the curious are satisfied. Our secrets are destroyed by those who purport to be able to keep them. So long as that does not happen here, there is no reason that his thread should not remain in existence. My advice is to ignore those who want to argue. They usually have ulterior motives - and in my experience, your best interests are rarely amongst them. Best, Atlas |
