I'll be certainly picking this up no matter the cost. Still, it would be nice to know. I've been frothing at the mouth with the ideas you can use it for. I'll keep on the look out for pre orders once it's been scheduled. Every once in a while something comes along and captures your attention and I have found that twice in a row Atlas' name seems to attached.

I don't want to speak for Atlas, but based on what he's said so far, I'm going to hazard a guess that the price won't be set until the publishing details are sorted (and given that just two days ago he wasn't sure whether to print in invisible ink, well...). And of course, publishing can't be sorted until the book is actually finished, which it isn't yet. So we all just have to be patient.

CJ is right - I don't have an answer yet and won't until I have finished the book and can make educated decisions on format and layout.

I would love to see this book printed in invisible ink. It would be the most unique book in my vast collection.

It would have to come with a black light, but cool Idea. It would get annoying after the novelty wore off though.

If what Mark indicates below is accurate (and I have no reason not to believe it), then I think this is a groundbreaking moment for the book test. Think about it. No need for MOABT. No need for any marketed book test. It would be possible to just have a spectator bring THEIR OWN BOOK to the venue, have them only THINK OF THEIR OWN WORD on a random page, and the performer can know that very word through train tracking. Am I thinking about this correctly, or is my logic flawed? Thanks!

Regards,
Mike

Train track it, in fact forget the first letter, borrow a book, tell them to pick any word, any length, any page then train track that bugger right out of their head.

Actually wait a minute, I don't want you buggers train tracking, forget all that, it's decidedly average, you wouldn't like it, I may just take a kidney from each kid and buy them all and burn them to protect you all from such an undesirable little thing .... You will thank me for it ..... Honest. Now move along, nothing to see here.

To add to my earlier post, here is a demo for MOABT2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HwIpV_zbJU

Though I perform this exact book test, I can see myself enhancing the presentation with Train Tracking. Looking forward to being Train Tracked!

Very rushed presentation. With all due respect, that presentation could be enhanced without the use of Train Tracking.

Anyhow, not to get off topic. Train Tracking sounds absolutely brilliant. I believe in this thread somewhere Atlas was talking about how he is a bit dissapointed that he will never experiance Train Tracking for himself. If I get the opportunity to purchase this Im going to be too scared to read it in fear I will want to see it in action first=(

Cant win em all!

It's not one single effect. I recommend you read all the posts by those who have been Train Tracked. Most will agree it's a tool which will enable you to know what someone is thinking with zero retractions (plus many other things they were thinking during the process). And all achieved with no props or writing materials. Atlas has confirmed it comes with one bonus routine based around dream holiday destinations.

People have said this will be limited edition, so how limited? Also, I know a price has not been stated, but will it be over $100?

Zach,

Only Atlas can answer that question in due time, as he is trying to get a release date of late June, and if we are patient Atlas will chime in here, let us know the amount of copies that will be available, as well as how much it is going to be afterall. But yes, I assume that being this is something very special and limited, this will be over $100 easy. Atlas had said something one day along the lines of 150 gbp, but he was not sure as of yet if that was going to be the final price until he has completed many steps in the writing and printing process.

We will all know shortly when it comes time to unravel this book.

Thanks

Hey guys,

So I wanted to come on here and tell you my experience with Train Tracking. I had not yet experienced it yet as Atlas is a very busy guy, but today Atlas took some time out of his busy schedule, and what I thought would end up in a 20-30 minute chat, ended up us talking for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Basically we discussed mentalism in general, and also some takes on different types of effects, and then Atlas asked me if I would like to experience Train Tracking. I giggled like a little boy, and said, "Certainly" So we chatted a bit, and he told me to think of any word, I thought of the word GLASSES, then we chatted some more about different types of things, as he took me though a day dreaming process, and then he said he had me figured out, told me everything that was going through my mind, and he finally told me my word. I was shocked, and this is truly one of the greatest pieces to come out in mentalism in a long time. I am glad that it will be limited. Atlas and I then discussed its different applications that it can be used for, close-up and stage, and more, and I could understand that this is going to be very fun learning, and also cant wait till its released. This will require some work on the performers part to get down correctly, as any effect, but I feel that with this, once you have it down, you will have a very powerful tool to amaze and astound at anytime.

I can already see the potential that this release will have, and I just wanted everyone to know that your participant will experience mind reading like never before, as you tell him things that were only in his mind, and you conclude by telling him the thought of word. Does not get any stronger than that.

Atlas is a really nice down to earth guy, and I am glad he chose to release this to our community, because he could have just kept it to himself.

Thanks Atlas, for a wonderful experience, and being train tracked.

As I predict this will be a one-of-a-kind book in mentalism, and one that communicates the discovery of a groundbreaking principle, I would be happy even if the price were in the $500 range. Let's not forget that contained in the book is something Atlas has spent so much time creating and perfecting, and the sharing of this valuable knowledge will do wonders for all of us performers. Even if the book were $500, we would likely recover this cost through bookings. I wish Atlas only the very best in this release, and hope it is wildly successful for him (and remains exclusive to the purchasers).

Regards,
Mike

Zach this is not meant for you. As both Atlas and myself have told you in other threads this isn't for you or other 14 year old beginners. You simply aren't ready for this, but you do not seem to be hearing this from those that have taken the time and patience to kindly tell you of this - Atlas, Bob Cassidy, myself and a host of others. No offense but just stating the facts. You would be out this amount of money which at your age I'm sure is a great amount and wouldn't likely be able to benefit from this yet at your very beginning stages of just starting to search for the basics and foundational mentalism principals. This would be way over your head at this point, save your money, and learn that you can't always jump on every latest and greatest release that comes through these pages, especially in the beginning stages.

I hope you accept this as constructive criticism and not take offense.

I've been fortunate enough to have Atlas show me 'Train Tracking' via Skype a couple of times now.

This is excellent stuff and very clever thinking by Atlas, something I can't wait to put into practice. I can see myself doing this.

Imagine, no props, nothing written down, it's just you and your participant. In a nutshell, they think of a word and you're able to tell them what that word is.

There is a 'process' at work but that 'process' is logical and engaging; there's a rationale for you doing what you do. The end result is that not only are you able to tell the participant the word they originally thought of but you're also able to tell them all the other thoughts they had in the process. How strong is that!

TT is best suited for more intimate performances, I don't think it would translate well to stage. However, imagine using TT over the phone with a prospective client to secure a gig. You can do that.

Making TT look as smooth and polished as Atlas does is no small task. To do this well you'll need to know the effect inside out to make it seem fluid and effortless. Having seen the end result though, learning TT will be worth the effort.

Cheers,
Lar.

Or...you can you ignore that advice and possibly prove everyone wrong. Never let someone tell you what you can't do (when it comes to matters of dreams and hopes). Where would mankind be if kids always listened to their elders and waited until they were 25 to push the envelope? Obviously, common sense has to be applied here. We are not talking about doing drugs, drunk driving, or driving your bicycle on the Interstate. Obviously, your elders' advice will help you live longer. But when it comes to trying new things, aiming for something hard, or proving that a 14-year old can do something amazing, show 'em wrong if you can, or learn from it if you can't.

I can name 100 great pioneers who were stubborn youngin's and ignored similar advice and did something amazing. Mindpro is likely 100% correct that you are not ready for this, but sometimes you have to find out for yourself. If you decide to spend this kind of money for this and you find that he is right, you should acknowledge it and learn something from it. That $250 disaster may just save you thousands later in life because you have that lesson to lean on. That's how the rest of us learned (hard mistakes and tough-earned experience). But if he is wrong and it causes you to go on and do amazing things that lead to other amazing things, I suspect he will be glad he was wrong.

I suspect that many of us on this board (regardless of their hierarchy of posts or actual knowledge and experience) are on this board because when we were children, we were interested in things like magic/mentalism, we researched things, we studied, we practiced, we failed, we embarrassed ourselves, and we spent countless dollars on tricks and books and videos (DVD's)...that are in the junk drawer. And then some of us turned pro, and I doubt they regret a thing. And some of us do something totally different, but wouldn't take a zillion bucks to change our memories of being 14 and being the kid at the magic store and taking an old deck cards and performing the same darn trick over and over and over until our families wanted to kill us.

Later on down the road, when you are 70, I hope you will tell some other kid the same thing. I would rather see the kid swing the bat and miss because he is out of his league than I had him wonder what would have happened if he had swung. This life ain't no dress rehearsal.
