Beautiful indeed. This is the way an arcane knowledge book should look.

OK Mods, burn it all down

It would be nice if someone could save this in some format and re-post this discussion on the owners forum for the sake of preserving some pretty major history. A lot of ground has been covered in the last 20 pages, and it would be a shame to just "burn it down".

Apparently several TT owners have not received their "welcome emails" from the TT owners forum.

My IT guys have been working on this all day to figure out why some emails are not being delivered.
As far as they can tell, the emails are leaving the server, not sure why some are not getting
delivered.

Please check all your "spam" filters to see if the TT forum emails are getting caught.

Have all TT owners got enough posts to access "Inner Thoughts"?

You could save html pages, current size is 3.2mb zip file.

I think inner thoughts would give people the idea they could speak more openly about methods. I'm sure no one who owns this would want to see that.

Sorry but personally I do not think any discussion of Train Tracking belongs on the Magic Café, period.

Atlas has created something very, very special over a lot of years and has been gracious to share it with 200 very privileged people, also Steve has invested a lot of time and effort creating the private forum without asking for any payment. We owe respect to these guys to keep this to ourselves!!

I was thinking more of inner thoughts as a locked topic to preserve history, not for ongoing discussion, once TT forum setup is completed.

I agree that any discussion of Train Tracking should be limited to the private forum that has been set up. I don't think that Inner Thoughts is private enough. This will prevent any slips that might hint at a method.

Well I've had #12 for sometime now. I read up to page 71 on the train (appropriately) home from MINDS. I've been very busy these last two weeks and have not had the chance to look at TT since. That changes. This weekend is free and I'll make sure the train well and truly leaves the station this time round. Woo Hoo ! (or should that be Choo Choo!)

I did get my welcome e-mail, thank you, but I have not actually logged in there yet. Is there a time limit as to when I have to, or even if there's an obligation to do so right away? I got the parcel slip here for me to pick it up, so I will have it in hand by this weekend. I definitely appreciate this chance to push myself a little further and set some goals a little further.

Not sure if my account has been set up yet, but I haven't received the email (and not in my spam folder either). The only reason I raise this is that I recently joined another forum and had the same thing happen - the account was created, but the automated email didn't arrive. So it's quite probably not your fault Steve. I blame the NSA. Smile

I have come across this issue recently in a different context. The fix was for those who didn't receive the email to provide a gmail account instead and it worked fine for some reason.
Back to TT I feel as though atlas has created another "step" in the steps to mentalism with this work, only this is far superior to the rest of the steps.
That's how good I consider this.

I'm upto about chapter three and my mind is blown so far. This isn't going to be easy to learn but eqaully it isn't going to be hard in the same way its hard to learn a complicated sleight. It certainly feels like its worth the effort and I've not even seen it all come together yet. I can't help but think I have more treats in store as I progress through the book.

I'm not really trying to learn it first read through; just taking it all in. I look forward to being able to talk a bit more openly on the forum

Thanks Atlas - great work

That is particularly high praise. If you're going to state something of this magnitude, it would behove you to acknowledge the other people who, many years ago, toyed with and developed the core concepts on which Train Tracking operates. It's not to say that TT is not original, but it is to say that if it constitutes another "step", then the general concept of that step was not "created" with this book. I won't say more, because to do so could be considered leaning towards exposure.

Please note, I'm not trying to talk down TT at all. I think it's amazing, and the work that has gone into it certainly fills in all of the gaps of the earlier works that caused me discomfort.

I think it is such a huge advancement that it could be considered a step in its own right. Just my personal opinion.
For reasons you mentioned, I didn't want to delve into its roots.

My copy is still in shipment and on its way to me, but I agree with Mark. All who have invested and sacrificed their money, work, time, efforts and honor towards Atlas, the support of our beloved art and his EXCELLENT WORK . . . lets expand, extrapolate and work further towards discovery on the Train Tracking Forum created graciously by SeattleSteve. I think enough has been revealed for the casual performer and layman.
Why is it that on one side of the world a person looks at a picture of the Grand Canyon and says, "it looks so real." At the same time on the other side of the world a person looks at the Grand Canyon and says, "it looks like a picture."

LOL

Who sacrificed their honor towards Atlas? I'm not sure what that means, but it seems a bit extreme. Some people need to calm down I think.

There's loads of meaningless guff posts in this thread. We get it, you've bought Train Tracking. Good for you. Enjoy it. Try not to make the pages too sticky.
