I have been tooling with my walk around, trying to break it down and really examine how, from a spectators standpoint, I come off. I have compiled my list of "tricks", mostly card, then dividing them into 3 main categories.
Walk around table Mixed (either of the above) Now I have my packs of cards (or 7) with me, my gimmicks and assorted props. I feel myself "missing" something with my card magic. I could produce a list of what I do, but I was hoping that I could pick your brains and get some suggestions. I would like something that involves the whole deck, or maybe pull a few cards out. No gimmicks, just slights with a nice story. Please refrain from suggesting "twisting the aces" as I have bad blood with that one. He said some things....I said some things, there were torn cards, and now we no longer get along. So! I pose to you, please, something I can practice, hits big, and is fun to watch/do. ....ready? Haha. Sorry man, couldn't resist.
We're probably gonna need a bit more info from you mate. What kinda stuff do you enjoy watching/performimg? And what level would you say your at? There are many great routines that I don't perform in a set, either because it doesn't 'fit', doesn't suit my style or character, or, even though I know some classic routines are solid, well constructed effects, I might simply not like them! Funnily enough, one routine I've never liked is twisting the aces! GO! :-) KX |
