The COPENETRO effect is not quite a gaff coin effect, but I think the post is OK here. Both Viking and Tora have recently come out with new versions of this old effect. Has anyone purchased either of these yet? Any good? My old version made "releasing the coins" a bit awkward. Any comments/observations on these new versions would be very appreciated.

Do you have to hole the tray?

That is basically what I'm trying to learn Mike...do you have to be holding the base (with the shot glass and inverted larger glass in place on top of the base) when you perform? Or can you place the apparatus beyond your reach where you aren't touching it? (On a table for example.) Anyone?? Comments would be VERY appreciated. Happy Summer everyone!!

Yes, I cannot count the times I've nearly dropped mine, trying to "release" the coins, and the way it's designed, you need
to hold it. It's very awkward. A remotely controlled version would be nice! |

Awkward maybe, but beautiful to see. If you want a variation that you don't have to hold, you might want to consider a Silver Odyssey:
http://www.martinsmagic.com/full/money-s......_735.htm There are two versions. I have the non-e*******c tray. The mechanics are marvelous and it works perfectly every time. |

I see that Andy has acquired a new Copenetro made by Viking and has posted pictures and a review:
http://www.martinsmagic.com/?html=full&nav1=new&key=5161# I would note that Viking is now the only authorized maker of the Copenetro (although perhaps Jack Hughes had, at one time, the rights to produce a version in Europe?). As for the Tora version, although I don't own a Tora Copenetro, I have had an uneven experience with the reliability of their products. I would also note (for those who are interested) that the Tora line is known for freely "borrowing" ideas from magic creators without attribution or permission. |

Thanks for the help folks. This is a good enough answer for me.
Viking Version Only: 1) You do have to hold it. 2) High quality, as one would expect from Viking. I also see three five star reviews are posted on the Viking website: http://www.vikingmagic.com ...but good to see a review from a different website (martinsmagic.com) I personally don't own any Tora effects, and would buy a Viking. Obviously if anyone really wants to know about the Tora version...throw another post on here For me... "question asked and answered." Thanks everyone! |
