I think the name is "Night out with the Ladies" I have used this for well over ten years, it's where you show several cards with pix of beautiful woman, and you tell the spec he will get a date with one, after some fun and a shuffle, he chooses , only to find he selected an old hag.

Very nice, I really like the idea of the spectator choosing the wild card. Smile

I agree... Plus putting the cards in the spectators hands adds to to it.

For me I like the following:

1. Color Monty
2. Duplicity
3. Double back because I can keep it in my pack perform it first and ditch it in the card box after and go into an ACR.

I'm wondering which of these "top strolling tricks" also resets instantly (or very easily as you put them away). To me that's a key feature of any strolling trick since you'll be repeating it over and over as the gig rolls on.

Does that criterion change anyone's opinion of their top 3?

1.Two Card Trick (uses any two cards, you could pick up two found in the street, and an empty box)

2.Never Ever Play the 3 Card Game [Skinner's Monte]

3.What You Wanna Play is 4 Card Monte, the extra card makes all the difference! [Virginia City Shuffle]

Progressing routine, all instantly reset, no fuss no muss, laughs and gasps.

I previoulsy listed:
Color Monte;
Spin Doctor; and
Oil and Water.

Then I bought Garret Thomas' "Stand Up Monte" because of all of your recommendations and I was not disappointed... Initial reactions have been outstanding!

Thanks again Café members for the excellent advice!

As everyone else says,
Stand Up Monte is great,
Poker Test is my opener,
and I truly love Bizarre Twist. only 3 cards needed, examinable at the end.

"In The Hands Wild Card" mentioned above is reset when you finish the routine. You start and end in exactly the same order. Finish the trick, put the cards away and you're ready to go again.
