This is a document from your country ( Antwerpen/Anvers ) ...resuming, it's certifying that a certain person - a pilgrim - received all due sanitary treatments - and besides them, also the Easter Communion ! - in the hospital of St. Julian, by the care of the Congregation of Holy Virgin Mary of Loreto and Bishop and others.
Practically an hospital discharge. |

You're welcome...and I can't read so well the hand-written parts but yes, seems to be the same person, a Nicolaus something.

Nicolaius Gons.
A Pilgrim infected by a strange disease needs a cure and Easter Communion. Body and Soul. Vampirism, maybe? |

Or a case of lycanthropy...?
Who can investigate better and deeper than the Curator, anyway. |

This reminds me so much of the Coppola version of Dracula!
The red chess pieces look fantastic! Too bad you can't do mentalism around the theme of Dracula... |

Some where published here: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......forum=14 *The Dhampire Protocols include: The Vampire Game (Vampire ESP), Test Van Helsing, Ishihara, the Dhampire Meeting, Equivox, and mooore. The plot of the show: The vampire hunter team needs at least a Dhampire and an Erudite. But most of Dhampires were only con artists, so several protocols have been create during different eras to test those people. During the protocols, the spectator discovers that he has the qualities of a vampire hunter. |

O M G !!
Are your books available in Canada? I'm half French-Canadian (from my father's side) so I read and speak French fluently. What are your experiences when performing this material? Did you road-test this? What does your audience think? Forgive me for being inquisitive but this is all quite new and something of a shock to me... xxx Morgaine |

It's one of the main show performed at the Surnateum, it's an audience winner. The show is in two parts:
- first you have an exposé about the XVIIIth Century Vampire Hysteria, how it began, what are the real proto-vampires, etc. The exposé last at least one hour and a great part of the Vampire Collection is displayed (I've most of the XVIIIth and XIXth books about the subject in original editions - including an original Bram Stoker letter -, plus a collection of apotropaics and magical weapons from that era.) Then you've a break, and the second part starts. - The theme is: An Erudite sits in a tavern and tries to hire a dhampire, who can see the invisible vampire. But he knows that most of them are con artists, so he tests the candidate. Five routines are performed in a logical order using late XVIIIth/early XIXth Century items. Then, the Erudite explains that the candidate must resist the vampire fascination. Next are several tests using more modern psychological items (Tarot cards replace objects). The spectator is tested and hits the Test van Helsing. The Erudite seems doubtful and use a more scientific test (Ishihara). Then he explains that ESP cards were introduced in 1937 for testing Psychic powers and performs 6 tests with the cards. The spectator has a complete success and has all the qualities of a Vampire Hunter. During this serie of ESP tests, rare items like a True Cross Reliquary and the Dhampire Game are used too. Légendes Urbaines and Fabula Hermetika are still available and Compendium Sortilégionis will be re-edited soon. The show lasts at least one hour. It's very intriguing and quite funny sometimes. It's the perfect follow-up of the exposé. |

In Tempestate Securitas, is Latin for "security in the weather". On the other side of the medal is patron saint George (S GEORGIVS PATRONVS) on his horse (EQVITVM) slaying a dragon, a Christian tradition adapted from Eastern Orthodoxy. Another XVIIIth (maybe XVIIth) century medal against Tempests and Plague (Tem-Pest-ate contains the word Pestis: Plague). |
