I keep my whole close up show in a black leather doc. bag. You can find old ones at flee markets and such. A new one can be had for around 45.00.
Just my two cents.

In a truck stop somewhere in North Dakota, I found a neat little bag that resembled a doc's bag.

The truck drivers, I learned, used them to carry "shower stuff" in, when they used the truck stop showers.

They were a perfect size for small close up props. They weren't leather, but looked like leather, and priced about $20 (this was 20 years ago.) I've used one for 20 years, and it still looks good.

I don't work "out of it" normaly, but could. I load my pockets at the venue and store the bag behind the bar.

I used to use a doctor's bag to store stuff in, but found it was inconvenient for two reasons. 1) To fully use the space, some props are always on top of other props. There are other "vertical" storage systems, i.e. sales sample cases, that have this problem. 2) Small props were always falling to the bottom and finding them required taking almost everything out. I have since gone to a more horizontal storage system and have several of the aluminum attaché cases. For actual performance at restaurants I also have a very small, transparent cosmetic bag that holds enough for an evening. I take what I will be using for that gig and put it in the smaller bag. Thanks to Michael Ammar for that suggestion. I still like the look of the doctor's bag and would use one for certain themes, it's just no what I prefer.

MRSharpe - consider velcro, two strips to essentially make 3 separated compartments. the dividers can be made with whatever material you think would work. the ends of the dividers will have the eye hook part adhered to a folded portion of the strip width. The height stops at where the collapse of the bag starts when fully closed. If still confused, look at a large camera backpack. PK parts of the bag (bottom) to make it a hold out or something.
