I ordered business cards for my magic. After getting them I realized I need a magical way to hand them out. I obviously have some levitation effects and Marcus Eddies promo but I want to do more and make it more personal so the spectator will keep it. I am looking for a way to print a card to use in an effect. either having a hidden prediction on it, or something to make it worth while. Anyone ever done anything like this

I often show the card blank on both sides, then print it by hand. Carlyle/Vernon, in Elliott's Classic Secrets of Magic.

I posted this earlier in another thread....
I had 2 versions of my card printed and two matching packets made up with a matching rubber band around them. One has both sides printed with the back saying "You will pick the" and a card printed below the text. I use it similar to the Insurance Policy for an ending or the ocassional "Do-one-more-rick" request. The other card was left blank on the back for Out-to-Lunch. I'll do an OTL routine earlier showing the backs blank and then later on after another trick or two swap this packet out for the double sided cards for the card revelation. I have these with me all the time and pass them out every chance I get. |

Michael Ammar has a DVD that comes with a Z wallet with some ideas on business card magic. Not ground breaking material, but if you don't have a clue, then it is better then nothing. He does sell a better quality leather Z Wallet, and currently has some irregular ones available at half price.

I have done card tricks in which my business card is embedded in a playing card I had split previously.
Not my own idea, and it gets interesting results! |

My card I have one 'fancy' side with colour, all my info, logo and social media links.
One the other side I have just my logo on the far left and my web address on the very top. This leaves a large blank space for writing a prediction, swami work etc. It gives people a reason to show other people your business card. Like free advertising. |

I do it the same way as Barry (mindmagic) with a single card. The Carlye move works well. Mine are totally blank on one side, to leave room for writing a prediction, a "better" number or email address and so on.
You can also take a stack of four, elmsley count to show they're all blank on both sides, then print them one by one for a group. I think this is more convincing since people are used to business cards being blank on one side, but when you give them a fair display of multiple cards being blank both sides it just seems more convincing to me. |

Last years S.A.M. Membership card had the names of 2 cards printed on the back..
A spectator inserts the membership card into a deck of cards. And on both sides of the membership card are the same cards as printed. That wasn't that clear. It's kind of late. Good night.
