I like the effect, not the price! For that price you should get two different outcomes. But I'm sure they will sell a quite a few of these...

Jay is a machine, isn't he? Say what you want about the length of the presentation, but if I were a layman and watched him do the entire routine in the promo video, I would be seriously impressed and baffled. He appears to negate all "outs" as he goes along. There is a reason that this is so multi-layered - which inevitably makes the presentation longer. In this case, I think it's worth it. Kudos.

Ok I just got through watching all the new magic that arrived today!
This is a nice effect much deeper and involved than just an invisible deck, in fact a full routine. A lot of thought has obviously gone into this and multiple ways are taught how to do this, including with and without flash paper. The DVD also covers burning the stars. Once you know the secret of this if you wanted different outcomes you could make your own up quite easily. You have to set the trick up which takes a few minutes or longer if you wish to smoke up the stars. As far as the price I can see why it costs so much with what you receive. The use of fire is always impressive and therefore makes this an eye catcher for anyone watching. It is practical, can be done surrounded or on stage, resets instantly and is a worker. If you like the look of this it's easy to do, you will be doing this within minutes of setting it up.

When you produce the card in the end, is that trick as created, designed for the card to be given away? In other words, would giving the card away create a problem?

The idea is you produce the card and then put it back to be reset.
You could give it away but you would then need another of the same value to replace it. If you were doing this as a one off for parlour or stage (Jay explains how this can work) I would say yes giving it away would be nice but not for table hopping etc.

Thanks for the update, Mark. That is very helpful. What I gather is that it could be given away without impacting the ability to do the effect another day after replacing the card.

Got this through the post a couple of days ago, and got the chance to perform it a few times last night.
All I can say is Wow. Genuinely some of the strongest reactions I've had in a long time, especially when performing to couples. I didn't leave the card for a souvenir, but it's not necessary at all. |

Thanks for sharing. I knew this would be a killer effect, if played correctly and they can focus on you and the effect.
Sounds like you performed for smaller groups? I am still having a very difficult time forking over $55 for one effect. I know, I know.... I love sankey and have been a fan for years. I will get this second-hand once available. it is just too much for now. Mike |

The price seems to be the big issue with this!
Especially as a basic invisible deck is a very reasonable price I appreciate the work involved with the symbol cut outs but Do you get plenty of prepared flash paper ? I do like the effect though but the price !! |

I would think and bet that the flash paper does not come with it.

No it does not come with flash paper.
I really like this and am thinking about how I can use it in a routine and then go into the other routine call Starstruck where you predict their star sign. The two tricks seem made for each other and mix magic with mentalism and a bit of fire always makes something commercial! This is more than just an ID with this which is why the price is high but even as a dealer I think $45 would have been a better price point for what you get.

You are basically getting the DVD and the labor to create the props for free. I'm sure he got a volume discount on the props he had to purchase to make this, but the price is really very low for what you get. I was not disappointed. KJ |
