I was gone fishing for a few days, and just had a chance to check my e-mails. I had one from Ron Foos of Paul Revere and The Raiders, telling me that Larry Ramos of The Association passed away yesterday. So sad to hear. What a great talent and voice he added to the group. I knew he had be ill for a while, but it's sad to hear he passed away.

I remember in the 60ties and early 70ties, WLS AM radio out of Chicago ran at least once a year "The Top 100 Songs of All Time". "Cherish" by The Association was #1 in that survey a number of times...

Larry was a friend who I would see occasionally when he was on tour and our paths crossed. What a great guy. He would regularly be a guest in my show. The only guy to get arrested in Chicago while on tour for surfing Lake Michigan back in the day. He and his big white brim hat will be missed.
