Here is a sneak peak at the new palming coins we're minting. They are 1.5" diameter, 1.5mm thin with a reeded edge. They come 10 in a pack and I believe they will be available through Magic City!
Thanks, Keith Click here to view attached image. |

I too, have to agree with the others. But that's just my honest opinion, and ill give you my reasoning, like it or not.
I just use the regular coins! And I think someone above already mentioned on this bit.. Why not just go buy real IKE's? Theyre pretty common. And I feel that you may have sold more, had you just focused on creating an altogether new and creative design. Trying to mimic, another readily available coin, and a non valuable one at-that, isn't gonna get you many takers.. Atleast, I don't think so..And, that is just how I personally feel. Either way, I think its always cool to see people investing time, blood, sweat, etc. into this craft. |

Biggest difference is the thickness. A regular half dollar is a little over 2mm thick. These are between 1mm - 1.5mm thickness so you can plam more coins.

Oh I forgot... the eye is a bonus effect. It's one of those images that looks like he's looking at you no matter where the coin is lying in the room LOL <JK> |

Haha, if you actually did that, probably no one would buy those.. Btw, did you design those?

Its quite impressive! Nice job. If you re-design the face it should be just fine. However, They are also quite big.. bigger than a silver dollar?

Practically, I think that many tricks.....it matters little what is on the coin. These should be fine, especially for tricks like misers dream or 1 coin routines where the spectator realistically does care what exactly is on the coin. From a marketing point of view, to separate them from others....it would be nice (my taste only) if they were slightly larger than silver dollars plus perhaps another size, say between a 50 cent piece and a silver dollar. But these look fine in my opinion. I assume they are steel???

No the current working samples are aluminum. We wanted to make them as thin as possible, and using brass, iron or steel would require them to be thicker.

I've always associated palming coins with stage productions, (wrongly perhaps), for which I'm sure these would be perfect. Audience would see many large silver coins appearing from nowhere; you can't tell a Morgan from steel washer at 12 yards under lights.

Here is a short video so you can hear the sound from dropping them in a metal container.
