Why don't you get one of those butterfly clips, tape a safety pin on to the top, and cover it in some of that black sticky felt! Then you can pin it on the bottom of your coat or vest! Or where ever you need it!

I went to a local dry cleaner, and asked for a couple of those clear plastic alligator clips, that they use.. Works great for a single coin! You could even slide one on a safety pin, for more placement options, with a result much like Mr. Neighbors suggested. And also, like Davids recommendation, you can make this totally free! Ive used both..

Attach a safety pin to a paper clip that holds the coin -- seriously! This works best if the paper clip is one of the larger size with a vinyl coating.
Another idea, from John Bannon, is a banker's clip, which I think he called the I-O Holdout (In-Out), because you can also ditch a coin in it. It attaches to your back pocket. Either of these allows for easy removal of the coin, without any click or noise. Jerry |

I'd use a all-wire utility clip. It looks a lot like a clothes pin, but made entirely out of wire, with a vinyl coating. It could be hung from a bankers' clip with wire or string, and the bankers' clip could be clipped to the waistband of your slacks.

Glue a magnet into both ends of a 3" strip of bias tape. When folded a coin can be pinched between the magnets and held with a pin under the coat. Silent removal and never releases early. I use 3/8 X 3/8 X 1/16 neo-mags. Just be sure to get the polarity right.

I could be wrong, but I believe David Neighbors was referring to a coin holder documented in "Five Dollar Trix" (52 page pamphlet) written/published by Jerry Andrus in 1973.
I paid $5.00 for this copy from Byron Walker. On page 50, there is a section on coin holders. Jerry provides 15 illustrations on how to make a coin holder from the butterfly paperclip (illustrations 176 though 190). In addition, you can use black heat shrink tubing as an option.

I just made a multi coin holder with a "tool clip" (google it) and a rubber band wrapped multiple times around the base to increase the strength. I then attached this to one of those key ring-holders that is on a kind of pull.
I guess this could be deemed as exposure, but I literally walked through a hardware store looking for objects that could clip coins and botched them together. I was able to shoot this vanish with it today and I really like the results. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqjCxhxyEGA Also blew away a lot of amateur magicians with it and a small audience in a pub
So I highly recommend getting a coin clip! |

Like the tube coin dispensers? I saw one at Tap plastics but they only have quarter size.
