Hey Guys! I am trying to find a way to purchase an old trick I had that was destroyed in a move years ago. It was a wooden vanishing card box. It is completely different from what is on the market today. This consisted of a wooden base that a deck of cards rested on. Then there was a box that would fit down over the deck and cover it completely. When you squeezed the sides of the box and lifted it away the deck was gone and you could show the inside of the box and the wooden base was empty.

I was told it was made by Robert Jackson and sells for no less than $100.00 I am wondering if anyone has any more info on this or how to get in touch with Robert Jackson or anywhere that I can buy one of these.

I was told one was recently purchased for a steal at a Magic Castle swap, but I am not sure if that means there is someone who sells these.

Any info would be appreciated.

To my knowledge he manufactured at least TWO versions of the vanishing deck of cards:
One uses the standard frame method we see currently being made in cardboard from China or some other imported source.
The other is the kind you have described.

Each is an excellent example of the wood crafter's art and I would think valued at much more than $100 in today's collectibles market.

I'm sorry, but I don't know how to reach him. Perhaps Andy Greget might know?
