I'm sure you have all seen an "explainer video," all the rage with big name brands over the last few years.
An animated character that the customer identifies with, explaining a common problem, the challenge and then offering a solution and why it fits. Wouldn't it be great to be easily make these for your magic services! "This is Lisa. She has a problem. Her boss wants her to find a magician for the company party. He wants someone who can do magic around the tables and a short stage show. Perhaps even incorporate the company logo. And with loads of experience. Good thing she found .... etc" . Over the last few years you could easily get these done, but they would cost a fair bit each time. I've been using some nifty software over the last month, that makes these easily. And at a very low one off cost. This has just been relaunched after various revamps. Highly recommended. (In fact if you were keen, you could easily turn this into a side business making videos for others. Not sure how long the special price is on offer , but have a look here http://jvz7.com/c/216209/95609 Note - If you do buy this, they will offer you a couple of upsells. (Kind of like what we do ... if you want the deluxe show, I'll also levitate the birthday girl and make a balloon animal for everyone.) If you were keen, there is a bonus pack with extra templates, characters etc. I got that and was pleased I did. |

Very cool! Do you have to supply your own graphics or can you make little characters with the software?
Looks like a nice alternative to the $1000+ animated video services out there. Josh

You can insert your own images, photos etc or use theirs. Lots of templates.
The characters are generic and I don't think you can alter them. However the "explainer" video concept, I believe, is that the viewer identifies with the generic character. eg, the mother looking for a birthday party act, the PA looking for a corporate act, the conference committee member looking to choose next years conference MC etc |

Mr. Hyde,
I already own this, and I have three words...DON'T BUY THIS!!!!!! I use PowerPoint to create some of the videos I make and the reason I say don't buy it is because you have NO control over the timings of the slides nor do you have control over certain graphics on some of the ending slides. It isn't worth ten dollars let alone the $37.00 when I purchased it. There customer service stinks and the reps are not knowledgeable about creating slides or using the software. The music isn't really royalty free because the music I purchase can be used on any item I decide to use it for. With this software if you happen to find a piece of music you would like to use elsewhere forget about it. I know this is taking money out of your pocket because you are using an affiliate link but I just had to tell the truth about this piece of crap software. |

Gman, thanks for your input : )
I also use powerpoint & camtasia to create video and yes have much more control there however the ease of use, speed, tiny learning curve, templates provided etc make this a very useful additional tool for me at a fraction of the cost. Those things far outweigh any downsides for me TH |

Tim with all due respect (and I sincerely mean that) it's getting harder and harder to separate you and your quality products with your affiliate business. Seems you only post lately of affiliate offers under the guise of providing helpful resources.
Would love to see you contribute more regularly or promote your own stuff. I've had six affiliate offers on this just today alone. This is just becoming a source to promote affiliate businesses. |

This could be great with many possibilities if they ran with it and weren't so tight and limiting. It could be a great concept if it was more controllable and user feature friendly, but I think it is geared to a lower end market. I was not at all impressed. That's why I said what I did about Tim's affiliation as I think at some point it directly affects him and his reputation. This is now the second or third affiliate program that I have not been impressed with. This is one of the dangers of infomarketing. |

Just to clarify something I am not saying that Mr. Hyde is in anyway, shape, or form a bad person or that his products are bad. I was just warning him that this product sucked. I know for a fact that the product Mr. Hyde puts out are good. His customer service is good. I also understand that when a piece of software gets developed it will go through several stages of growth. Having said that I would expect the customer service reps be a little more knowledgeable about the product that purchaser's are going to have a problem with.
There are some good things about the product that I did like for example: It does the Kinetic Typography animations that I do have to mess with. I can be a good product for those who don't know how to use PowerPoint, or how to make a video.. Just be aware that you will not have control over certain things like animations, transitions, and image control on your ending slide. |

Thanks for the comments guys, I appreciate your frankness. A few quick comments before I jump on a plane.
My rough "back of an envelope" survey has many more "thankyous" and "just what I was looking for" & "I've been using this for a few weeks and love it" notes than people telling me it sucked. I have been trying to add a "this is an affiliate link" disclaimer to any such posts here. I will try harder. Content to Promotion ratio? Not sure. I would have to balance up my regular column in Vanish, Vibrations, the Newsletter and on the blog to see how that pans out. Most of my interactions here on the Café are via PM. I have been doing Affiliate Marketing for at least 16 years (starting with Amazon) , it is a good steady additional income stream for me and one I see is now being modeled by others. However , I do have a few rules. I only promote things I like and use. You should see some of the the rubbish I buy that never gets mentioned. As I announced in the newsletter a few months ago, I am shifting that into a more journalistic model - eg products, reviews, etc. I have another Metric I track to see if I'm promoting too much. Yesterdays Newsletter went out to over 1000 subscribers. I had 2 unsubscribe. That's a very good result The software - yes there may be some limitations to what you can do, but the same could be said for ScreenFlow, Camtasia, Adobe costing much much more in both time and money. If anyone is unhappy there is a 30 day money back guarantee and you are dealing with a very established affiliate program. Their customer service - not sure, I had no troubles installing the program or the bonus pack I bought so I never had to contact them. I know they have been growing rapidly, so perhaps have been tackling some issues there. The software itself is now on version 1.04 so early buyers may need to upload the newer version. No cost for upgrade. There is a good series of Webinars that go through different ways to use the software. TH |

Sounds like you are on the right track, doing the right things and these are just a few nut jobs here. By all means, carry on.

I'd like to know more about the the bonus pack and pricing, as well as other back end upsells and offers to expect in the name of full disclosure. Perhaps they make this very basic program more appealing. Perhaps, but again at what price?

I love it... NO it's not the tool to make high end promo video's It's the tool you use to get quick video's to post and with how easy youtube videos are to rank. you should be doing at least 2 videos a month My team and I have built over 50 videos with this for clients and many of them rank the simple videos that end with the .. For more info call today we build those all the time and put tracking phone numbers in them. Since using this we are generating more and more phone calls for clients

Mike - I have no interest in this product, but I am interested in the general discussion around your suggestion of posting at least 2 videos/ month on Youtube. I am curious why you believe this is wise. In your opinion, does the type of performer you are and your intended client matter. I noticed you do/did a lot with balloon sculptures, which is different than many of us.
You mentioned creating and uploading videos for clients. Are you an agent? I asked the moderators to delete this thread because I find it to be aggressive advertising of a product I do not see supporting TMC. If it does get deleted, perhaps we can continue the broader discussion on a new thread. |

Mindpro - MrHyde not even addressing your previous post is in part why I asked the moderator to delete the thread.

Happy to quickly share what I know.
Main product is currently $47. There is a bonus Theme Pack for a further $37. Adds an extra 100 Designs, characters etc. These are the two that I bought and quite a few people on my list as well. There is another module that you could add if you were interested in producing these videos for clients or local business. Presumably a How To tutorial. It includes software to search if business already have video on their site. $27 Lastly, if you were keen about turning this into a side business, you can signup for an ongoing $17 a month and recieve a further 50 designs a month. There are free training webinars at least once a week it seems, I have not listened to any yet. that's about all I can tell you. We were informed that the prices are going up at 11 pm Monday 2nd Eastern. |

Isn't this forum about the magic business? Here is a very useful tool that can promote you in a modern fresh manner. From the messages I have had, there are a quite a few people using this already and there were quite a few people who thanked me for bringing it to their attention. I've answered all the questions people had, as quickly as I possibly could. You've stated that you are not interested in it and that's fine, but there are a lot of people keen to discus it and ask more questions. |

It's obviously an affiliate product. Would appreciate more transparency on that, but that issue was discussed already.
That being said, I bought it. It's very good for how simple it is. It's not the super high end stuff, you get what you pay for and, the potential is huge |
