Hi everyone!
This is a video of my first try on pickpocketing in a paied gig environment. It was recorded about two years ago when I was booked to do strolling magic. After studying and practicing pickpocketing for quite some time I felt ready to give it a go and it worked surprisingly well. Since that day I really had a boost in my confidence and developed my skills. When I see this video now I think I was very clumsy. I am far better now but still consider myself a beginner student of this beautiful art. I think that especially in the art of pickpocketing you get to a point when you´ve practiced every move, every line and every technique thousands of times and feel like you should give it a try on a real spectator but you refuse to do so. Maybe this encourages beginners to just go out and try it. (After enough work was put in of course) Please let me know what you think of this video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7t7goPW23fM Best regards from germany mari-oh! |

That was good! I liked the arm on the shoulder to get the glasses, nice.
Although I've done watch steals in a strolling environment, I have concerns about doing pickpocketing in an informal setting. If anybody is missing something, guess who they're going to suspect. Or how about after you give them back their wallet and they look inside and say, "Okay, where's the $20 that was in there?" It could get ugly. Woodfield |

I agree, it can get very ugly. I was working a Hotel a few years ago and when I gave the watch back the spectator said'' that's not my watch, I had a Rolex'' I just assumed it was a joke, until he called the police after the show. Luckily the Hotel manager recognised him and told the police that he was a regular customer who came here on vacation every year, and every year he has something stolen. Turns out he was making false insurance claims to pay for his vacation. But it could have been a lot worse for me, in fact
I never did the watch steal for a couple of years after that.
By failing to prepare, we are preparing to fail.

Really nice, enjoyed! Although I had to watch it twice since I foolishly spent half of the first watch to follow guy's watch hand.

Love the way you worked him. Did you pick him out because of monitoring susceptibility or just randomly
