Hey guys,
Regarding the ROMEO & JULIET routine, John never released it, and he never sent any out. After reading the Rain Man Glimpse, you can get an idea more or less on how it could work using Rainman Glimpse or other methods. I just thought of something....... would you all be interested in a pdf, using the Romeo & Juliet routine, but with added subtleties, and various methods in achieving that routine? I could whip up a pdf soon, and put all the ideas into one pdf for you all, and maybe charge a small price for it.......something insignificant, would you all be interested in something like this? Let me know and thanks, at the moment its just a thought, but could come to fruition, and if enough people are interested I will write a pdf with everything, on how I would go about performing the Romeo & Juliet routine, as well as it will have multiple variations of performing the same effect Alex

Yea John's version was never actually written down.
Knowing the method for it I can say it has nothing to do with the rainman glimpse, it's very jazzy routine meant mostly for casual performances where all the credit is given to the participants. It's actually something that I believe wouldn't translate well into book form based on how personal the effect is.

Aligator,
What is your email? I wont have time to write up my version of the Romeo & Juliet effect this weekend, as I am traveling on Thursday to perform at a convention in Mexico City, and wont be back until Monday of next week, but as soon as I get some time, with enough interest I can write up the pdf of my version of the Romeo & Juliet effect as well as different options on going about doing that. So far there hasnt been enough interest for me to write it up, but I can, just let me know Alex

I am familiar with the Rain Man Glimpse and the method. It ticks every box for a p..k utility move...full card p..k, you can stare at it for as long as you want, totally motivated, can be repeated with no suspicious moves and their card and your writing can be handed out. No preparation, totally impromptu.
The routine is amazing but not limited to memory. You can do a duplication, Q and A, divine a stream of consciousness from the spectator, etc. The reason I am going on about this is that If this is that good, then Romeo and Juliet is probably also good as it comes from the same creator. Alex has generously volunteered to write up Romeo and Juliet, another of John Lindens routines and sell for a nominal fee. It is not in print, so let the routine be shared and have a life. Alex has asked to post your interest in him writing this up. So far there has not been enough declared interest on the Café for him to do this, I invite you guys to write out a request and post it. If you liked Rain Man Glimpse, let us see what else the creator has come up with. |

Hi Dr Art,
I agree Rain Man Glimpse is good. The creator never released Romeo & Juliet, and the only person that knew about it was him and a friend of his. Based on reading the Romeo & Juliet Thread and the description of the effect, I could write up different ways to accomplish said drawing duplication, but have no idea if it will be like the creators, and I really don't care, since it will never be available anyway, so I could write up a comprehensive detailed variant, on how I have done it in the past, with different variations and methods, so you can choose and pick which you like. Think Corinda, for one of the methods........to get your mind rolling with ideas...... I have studied the classics, and the foundation for any drawing duplication at least for me falls on true tried and tested classic methods. Michael I have sent you the RainMan Glimpse, as so everyone else that has asked for it. I am booked for a convention tomorrow in Mexico City, so if I do write something up it wont be till I get back. Again, like Dr Art says if there is interest I will write it up. so far only about 3 people have spoken up either on here or PM. Thanks for the interest, and enjoy RainMan Glimpse from the creator. Alex

Found another one of John's PDF and he allowed me to share it.
It's a method to force a card from a spread on the table (also works with objects). I've been using it as a second stage to my ACAAN. I'm a bit too busy ATM to start sending it out but if someone is willing to do just that, contact me and I'll send the PDF for you to share with the Café.
