One day to go. Are you excited? I am from Argentina therefore it is my canidate for the title, imaging winning the Cup against our Brazilian brothers at the Maracana!
So far eaFiFa 2014 gives Germany as the winner using their model (they were correct last time with Spain). Las Vegas bets is Brazil, follow by Argentina, Spain and Germany. Great first round games, Germany vs Portugal, Spain vs Netherlands, England vs Italy, and I think US vs Ghana could be intersting to see. Pablo |

Hey Pablo. Expect any work to get done in Argentina in the next month or so?
I'd love to see Messi own the tournament, but we shall see. I feel sorry for USA, who have a very good team (Not championship material yet, but very very good), but probably won't make the second round because of a very difficult draw. But it's the unpredictability that makes sport worth watching. Looking to the future, I'd sure like to see Canada at the Cup again before I leave this mortal coil.

FIFA have to take a serious look at the tournament amidst the allegations of corruption, Boater should be outed as soon as possible. He is bad for the game, in every sense, if the allegations are found to be true it should be re run, its madness to even think of staging it in Qatar in the first place, money talks though.
By failing to prepare, we are preparing to fail.

I was thinking it would be Spain again. Man they are great. But if you look at the history of where the cup is played and who has won it does not look good for Spain.
I should mention my wife is from Spain. So by default I have to cheer for them.

Brazil will win, It's all over bar the shouting.
Here's the betting from over here anyhow: http://sports.williamhill.com/bet/en-gb/......ner.html 4 grand gets you a million the USA, if you feel lucky.

Just can't make up my mind which is more exciting this or curling.
If I were to agree with you. Then we would both be wrong. As of Apr 5, 2015 10:26 pm I have 880 posts. Used to have over 1,000

I have just been watching the underworld cup there in Brazil. The gangs have their own teams.

That is why I cannot decide which of the two is more exciting to me.

If you want an amusing soccer video to post just Google "own goal" and watch. Some GREAT stuff!

And the great thing is that the world takes part in the World Cup, as opposed to, say, the "World Series"...

Tommy, what odds would you give me that USA gets further than England? It's a distinct possibility...
