I'm curious as to what kind of automobiles the great magicians owned throughout their lives. I found a photo of Howard Thurston and his 1932 Packard. I haven't been able to find much information. Might any of the magic historians out there have any idea? There are loads of info and books on the cars of the stars, but nothing on what magicians tooled around in.

Lee Grabel had a reddish Lincoln late 70s Town Car, with a trunk built into the trunk. It stood-up to almost to roof height.

When I was visiting various jails around the east coast, looking for one to escape from. the chief said that one night, in the early 50's, he pulled over a big black Caddilac and it was Blackstone with a red head inside and a bunch of little yapping dogs.

At a PBS station in Pittsburgh, I saw Bill Bixby Driving a white corvette like the one on the show. (Give me a little latitude here)

At AM Philadelphia (TV) I was booked at the same time Harry Blackstone JR was, for the morning show. I drove there from the Atlantis Casino in an old Ford van that was rusty. (very embarrassing)
Harry, coming from the Tropicana, landed on the roof in a helicopter.

(See Michael... not all my encounters were bad Smile )
