Anyone see Jersey Boys yet? The reviews are pretty contradictory. I haven't seen the show, but want to see the film.

I've seen the show and it was great. Looking forward to the movie.
What if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about?
My neighbor rang my doorbell at 2:30 a.m. this morning, can you believe that, 2:30 a.m.!? Lucky for him I was still up playing my drums. |

The movie is great! (But as a born and raised Jersey boy myself, I'd have to say that.)

Born in Kearny, brought up in Clifton, went to school in Montclair and Newark and worked in a magic shop in East Orange. Spent most summers at Seaside Heights, Wildwood and Atlantic City.

I lived in Newton and Allamuchy for 18 months; it's places like that which gave New Jersey its nickname as the Garden State.

Yes- those are nice places. I lived in Morristown for a while, too. Beautiful place and filled with American Revolution history.

I got an MRI when I tore my (first) ACL in Morristown, and I used to play bridge in Livingston.
There are a lot of picturesque areas of new Jersey. |

Just saw the movie. Very good of its genre. If you didn't grow up with the music, it might not be your cup of tea, but if you know the music I highly recommend it. The period(s) and locations feel right and the actors (except for a performance a little too big for film by the lead actor) are excellent. Did folks catch the little Rawhide joke? I thought Clint Eastwood did well with material which was inherently schematic and soapy. The music--well I stayed through all the credits just to re-hear all the songs again.

The previews look great to me, and I'm a big fan of Eastwood's directing. I'll get out to see it.

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley. "...as we reason and love, we are able to hope. And hope enables us to resist those things that would enslave us." |
