Hey! This is one of those idease/concepts that most all newcomers to this wonderful world(of Magic) really do cross, like some bridge of rites. The rites of passage bridge? (Needs work --Teacher.)
Once we realise our lovè for Magic is fast becoming near obsession then we realise that observing others who can execute sleights and display a level of proficiency in their performance skills is a great way to learn - what to do and what not to do! So we then start to look for all thing Magic related. For me it was movies, which I've always found interesting. Now I absolutely LOVE. W So thanks folks for all suggestions thus far. I hope to add maybe a couple of so of my own to the bottom of the list soon. Thanks for now! Now! To work Quote: On Jun 23, 2014, Bill Hallahan wrote: . . What do you mean you don't read? . Rough Magic has very little magic, gumshoe detective Russel Crowe follows magician assistant to Mexico, romance, blah, blah...
Totally forgettable movie, do not waste your time. Desperate Acts of Magic - Houdini has an affair. Shade did have a scene at the Magic Castle and they met Vernon! Okay, an actor playing the part of the "Professor". Good movie. |

Looks like I'll be watching Shade!
And thanks for the addition of The Illusionist animation because I had overlooked that until now. Hopefully this thread will always continue to be added to. Thanks for all the input, I try to watch everything mentioned here! . . What do you mean you don't read? . You need to read FITZKEE - Dick Oslund, 2019. |

In 1996 Bill Mcllhany wrote a 10-part series for MAGIC magazine called 'Magic and the Movies'. If you have the old issues you can look it up , or if you have an Ask Alexander subscription look it up online (also a Genii subscription gives you access to digital archives of all past issues of MAGIC and Genii)

I seem to remember as a kid a movie starring Wil Wheaton as a young Houdini.
