Hi everyone,
I was wondering what your thoughts are on my newest release with Sans Minds. It called "Foresight". Demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1f2-Xozgowc Description: Foresight is a powerful fusion between magic and mentalism by our friend, Oliver Smith. For those of you who love visual effects that fit right in your wallet, this is for you. It's extremely visual, easy to do, and gets jaw-dropping reactions. You'll be able to construct a powerful presentation while blowing people's minds with this eye-candy gem. Custom Gimmick / material included Thank you! |

I think its great. Mentalism and magic combined.

I don't mean this to be negative, just to point out that its not mentalism...
and this is just from the trailer - that to have the symbols drawn on the back of playing cards doesn't really make all that much sense (again, for mentalism)... and that the final square shape doesn't end up in the same position as the real square card does (from what I can see in the demo at least)... sorry if the above reads as harsh, the demo shows good reactions and good luck with it... its really mental magic, which is not a negative term as far as I'm concerned...i'm sure its fun...

It looks perfect
But I have some questions: how many gimmicks can I make with the stuff I receive after buying this trick? And can I only make the gimmick with the red backed bikes or can I use the blue ones too? And maybe you don't want to answer this question (or maybe you want to send met a pm?) but how much thicker is the prediction card? Or is it just as thick as the others? Because in the video you gave the card away for examination. Again, I love this effect! Looks so visual! Joost |

I respectfully disagree about this one...Heck, you could accomplish the same with a twirl change. While I myself perform both mentalism and sleight-of-hand magic, this seems like an awkward combination paired together.

One more question: when my gimmick is old, can I make one myself? Or can I buy a refill somewhere?

Wish you had done some research and came up with another name, one of my selling tricks for the last 7 years is called Foresight and carried by every dealer. This will only cause confusion between our two effects.

Any more review about this... ? I think the power of this trick is the visuality of the trick... but I little bit worried about the switch at the end of the routine so the spectators can examine the card...

Hey everybody! So I really like the effect Foresight but I wanted to mess around with it and what else it could do. So I made this video.

Goatears,
Great video. Very creative way of thinking. Oliver, I remember an older Max Maven video that has a trick very similar to this, did you get your inspiration from that concept? I don't remember the name of the trick but it really seems similar. Patrick |

I had not come across this sort of effect/idea before but thanks to Patrick's help via PM I have seen the effect called "Psign". I would like to credit Max Maven as the methods for Foresight and Psign do overlap in areas even though the effects are very different. I only focused on ESP style effects during my research for Foresight so I apologize to Max for the lack of crediting. Here is Max's performance of Psign which can be found on his Video Mind series (I have just purchased all three from Penguin for only $40, bargain!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gx3-4njcrv0 |
