Roger:

Many thnaks for acting as Cardshark's USA distributor over all these years. Two questions:

1. How did you and Christian meet and how did you make arrangements to become his USA connection?

2. What is your #1 favorite Cardshark item? (you are on a Desert Island and can only choose one!)

3. Who came up with the "gummy bears" idea and is it popular?

Thanks again Roger.

Hi Brett.... had some techno problems with getting on the Café in certain areas of this hotel

Now that the convention is over and we will be heading to US Playing Card from St. Louis, I will now have some time to devote to the site..... at least until I leave for England on Thursday night.

I met Christian in 2009 at his "initiation" FFFF Convention. He came with a lecture on the "vintage" cards that are still being produced in Germany. ie. The Medieval Tarot, The Heirloom Decks, The Gypsy Decks, Gypsy Curse, etc. I purchased the entire line of items that he brought. I saw the passion he had for his items as well as the quality and care he put into each item.

It was at the SAM convention in Buffalo, NY that same year when Christian and I became friends and "business" associates. I started promoting the vintage line here in the US trying to help him with easy distribution. When US Playing Card decided they would no longer "alter" the Bicycle back design for magicians, Christian called me for my opinions. It was then the Phoenix Deck was born. The first decks were delivered to me in November of that year..... the first time Christian saw them was via a Skype video call with me.

To continue with your questions.... Hmmmmmmmm ... favorite Card-Shark item for a desert island....(?) Well... I could take one of my Bar Cup Reloaded, because I could also use it for cooking! LOL The Ultimate Brainwave would also be good... being stuck on an island would be rather boring, but the UBW has different outcomes every time. But a regular Phoenix Deck or our NEW Casino Quality Phoenix Stripper Decks would be good as well!!!!

I would take my new effect "PennyTration"..but it hasn't been released yet so it depends what date I travel to the island.

Ahhhhh.... the Gummy Bears are included with orders just to put a smile on the face of the person that opens the box. The Haribo Gummy Bears are a German tradition. Card-Shark is a German company; hence, German gummies.

Thanks for your questions. Sorry it took so much time to answer. The convention ate up all my time last week.
