Hello everyone,
Just want to share you my latest DVD entitled Patrified featuring seven visual card effects. All the effects in this dvd are performed live and have been refined over years. You can watch the trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLE......BSDOUO_0 (This is also a playlist that has all of the effects performed individually in studio) Info: http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S17993 Here is the breakdown of all the effects performed in-studio: 1. Be-Tween Production // Rub two jokers at your finger tips and a card visually appears in between the jokers. PK style! http://youtu.be/gQ4f9cDioLE 2. PK Double // A single handed double lift with just the right balance of flourish and practicality to perform the live audience. http://youtu.be/SKzj8fNXT-Y 3. Inflict Evolved // The first visual sandwich effect that allows your spectator to do the magic. The moment they touch a card, it visually change to another. The evolved Inflict. http://youtu.be/zmFI8NnHr1k 4. Centerpoint Retouch // The updated display version of Patrick's signature Centerpoint effect. Slick and sweet http://youtu.be/E1-z6pPuU60 5. MORF // This is the effect everyone is talking about. Four random selection transform into any four of a kind of your choice. http://youtu.be/NT7TJ5dBESI 6. DIY Aces // Patrick's take on spectator cuts to the aces. It has never been easier! http://youtu.be/xJpZ0N0nwLA 7. Snowblind // Patrick's ultimate finale for his everyday professional card routine. What's your excuse not to learn it? http://youtu.be/Tx-4vTPOBo4 This dvd has everything for everyone. Some may required more practice, some are super easy. Hope you like it! -Patrick

Pretty cool DVD. Nothing but DIY Aces is super easy and most are at least a little knacky. But most of it is stuff that is worth working on. Although I would not do an entire set of them (and I couldn't), quick visual effects always have a place, espcially when it's noisy or there are language barriers. I like Centerpoint the most and can perform it with reasonable consistency.

I've seen Patrick perform every single one of these effects in person. I would say 90% of the time they were performed in an extremely noisy bar or club,(Cause that's how we ROLL)...
These are tried and tested pieces that can be performed in a noisy club/bar, or in a more relaxed and quiet environment.

The best part for me was the first 20 or so seconds of Centerpoint Retouched. Very nice.

Really nice review tomsk192... I also have this today and just already watched the entire dvd... this is a really great dvd... especially for the techniques and all materials that Patrick share inside the dvd... those techniques makes my card magic elevate to the new level... I really like the visuality of all routines in this dvd... maybe I'm not gonna use or perform all of the materials in this but I'm definetly going to perform some of the routine that I really like in this dvd like morph , centrepoint retouch ( honestly this is the hardest routine in this dvd just like Patrick told me before) and snowblind...
Overall in my personal opinion this is really good dvd.... I do not often buy card magic dvd this year but so far this is the best card magic dvd that I bought this year... for me this definately worth the money... Thanks Patrick for sharing with us.... |

I agree with you DigaMag, Tomsk192 review was super detailed! Thanks for doing that.
Digamag, Centerpoint will take some time to master it but once you get that move down, it should become easy. Let me know if you have any question on anything. Thanks!

Ok, I just sat down and watched the entire DVD, WITH deck in hand.
Let me get this out of the way. YES I know Patrick very well. YES he is a good friend. My review will not be based off of either one of those comments. I am going to be as honest and as direct as I can... PK Double - Ok...so the double looks great. It's knacky only because the way you handle the card(s) is not really "normal". But in Patrick's hands, it looks natural. I personally feel the information he gives ABOUT the double is more valuable than the move itself. Again, looks good. Just not for me. Morf - THIS is now my new favorite way to produce 4 aces in a flashy/fast way. The handling SEEMS very difficult, but I assure you, it didn't take long at all for me to get the basic concept down. I will be adding this to my set (Once it looks as smooth as Patrick's handling). LOVE it... DIY Aces - Again, another effect that Patrick teaches that really is not hard to execute, because there are really no moves involved. EASY to learn and has great impact potential... Centerpoint Retouch - Alright. Here it is. An effect that will take (Oh no, don't say it), a LOT of practice. It's knacky as hell, but boy is it a cool effect. I will be toying with this, but it's gonna be a while before I am confident enough to present it to anyone. ***Isn't what this art is all about anyway? It's all about instant gratification now, and that's sad. Take the time to learn people!*** Be-Tween Production - This effect teaches you Patrick's variation of a "move" that many sleight of hand magicians might already know. Yet, what HE does with it is very different and very cool. This ends up being a very visual production of a card between 2 cards. Love... Inflict Evolved - If you learn how to do Morf, you should be able to do this effect in no time. It's insanely visual and looks like trick photography. This is yet another effect I will spend the time on to learn it the right way. A sandwich effect where the spectator makes the magic happen. COOOOOOL!!!! Snowblind - Okie dokie. I will be honest. At first I kinda passed this effect by, because I would never carry around an entire blank deck with me. However, Patrick teaches this effect as a color changing deck routine and once again, it is VISUAL annnnnd easy to do! Gonna also be adding this one in to the set. Loved it!!!! So if you guys/gals are worried that this DVD is filled with difficult knuckle-busting sleight of hand, then you are partly correct. There are things on this DVD that WILL take time to learn, but once mastered, will look like pure magic. There are also items on here that can be done almost right away, with minimal to no sleight of hand. I gotta say, I love this DVD. 7 effects doesn't really seem like a lot. BUT with the work that these effects will take to get down, it's MORE than the money's worth!!!!!
