Mike didn’t ask me to write this but I wanted to talk about a recent experience I had with him. I posted this is table hoppers as well but it fits here with business info as well.
I had contacted Mike with some help on Web design. After a short conversation we worked out an extremely fair price for a landing page. This landing page was for restaurants, which will be a general spot for them to go after they have my card and other press kit information to show legitimacy. Affordable, simple and gets the branding out there. I have experience in public relations; even working for some of magic’s largest companies, so content wasn’t a problem. However, Mike’s experience was greatly appreciated and really kicked some serious butt. The level he is at, business-wise, is far above most magicians and is so willing to share. He helped me with e-mail marketing, lead generation, visibility and even some great tips on negotiation I hadn’t heard before. There are some little tweaks that I personally need to make from a couple items I am waiting for from a photographer and a couple testimonials but this is my own legwork that I have 0 problem doing. Mike has also offered some great help for when those things arise. Business is the single hardest part in magic. There are methods, tricks, entertainment and putting a show together but if you can’t sell yourself or get visible all of that means nothing. Being able to sell yourself means getting to perform for money. Mike’s advice on the subject is really fantastic and worth every penny. While a lot of people review things with a number scale Mike’s full service is a 10/10 across the board. I cannot recommend his expertise enough. There’s a reason this guy is busy and is working a lot. If you need a website, business cards, lead generation ideas or anything else shoot him a Facebook message and you’ll be glad you did. You can see what he did for me at MullinsMagic.com I've had some nice comments on this already from clients and PR professionals who took a peek. -------- Note: This is a landing page, not a full website but it's also the first phase of more to come with Mike's help. He has been nothing but incredible. |

Ummm...
He does great work at an insane price I would assume.. a 3 min doodle video goes for between 300 and 750 as the mid range in the industry and from my professional opinion, there is VERY Little I would tweak Strong call to action, social proof... ALL the elements for a 3500 landing page is here. WELL done page man... Mike did an awesome job on this landing page.

I agree and the price was way below what you guys would think. I did some of the leg work myself gathering images etc. but the collection and layout was 100% Mike. It's really nice and I've been getting a LOT of compliments on the page.
I cannot recommend his service enough. Not to mention we talked almost daily and he gave me business advice that was worth the cost of the page as well. Incredible value working with him. |

Wow! I'm grateful for the kind words Shawn. Thank you!
Mike, I appreciate your feedback as well. I am glad that there are like-minded professionals on here outside of magic that understand the fundamentals of online/offline marketing. I would love to get your info as I am always looking to JV with others in this area. Specifically I need an SEO person. I get several emails from clients looking for SEO and while I understand it, it is NOT one of my areas I tackle. As a side note, there are still a few tweaks I plan on making to Shawn's page. Nothing too drastic just little things here and there. BTW, while my services are not what I would consider "cheap", they are affordable to the average performer who is looking for help. Typically I have about 65% that don't mind to pay the fee and several others that have the desire to pursue their passion but can't commit to the full financial investment needed. I am happy to say that I offer flexible payment plans to these individuals Personally I do not know of another designer that has a niche magic market that does this. -Eaton |
