The Smiling Mule popped back up after a few months of radio silence ... and was not impressed with the good Father.

Hello,

He is known especially in France. To my knowledge, he is a very good reference when it comes to cheating. I would definitely trust his advices.

Vargas.

The Mule deleted his missive, nothing to see there now.

From the video linked to (now deleted), the mucks looked "OK", but when the Giorgio discs are brought into the equation, my reaction to the father alex stuff was "why bother"?

Never heard of him either. He asked for friendship on Facebook but we have never talked together (which is very difficult to avoid with a chatterbox like me Smile). I've watched a couple of good videos though. But videos are videos (good angles, only the best shots, etc.). Thus, hard to tell.

This is his site I think.

If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

If I remember right they used his name a lot promoting that french magazine with the frog on it. I bought it. It was so good I forgot its name.

Bullfrog is the name of the magazine. I found the download interesting from a magic POV, some interesting applications but overall nothing overly new (though one very interesting application of BA)

at 0:46 Father Alex performs a one handed bottom deal. The move is described in RCT and is uncommon. I saw it live and it is insane !

I don't clearly see what's insane here. Nice bunch of moves, I agree, but it's forumists/clubists material and I doubt most of those moves look fine with a different angle of view or seen from a different distance.

The one handed BD performed here is very slow and obvious. It's impossible to do it at a Gambling table, unless you wanna be caught.

You like moves for the sake of moves, no problem, I can understand that. Me I prefer moves which have some utility Smile. But again, the video is nice to see.

You can see Father Alex in action on Magical Sleight Magic-Night (Open Prediction) and on Hand Mucking, a Vanishing Inc download.
Father Alex performed at last year's Session in Cheltenham.
My understanding is that he really is a catholic priest.
Father Alex insisted that he is not motivated by financial game and would never use these cheating techniques in real gambling games.
As he says this, he unrolls his close-up pad and bundles of cash spill to the table....

Cute moves but that's about it really! Nothing that would ever make the gaming tables
