Welp, one by one everyone has returned to Nashville!
As people are checking in, the dealer's room is filling up with great gizmos. And the 'early' Late show was another good one with the Heritage members performing! Looking forward to orientation tomorrow with Hour of Power & Keynote Lecture being Ice McDonald!

Never been to a FCM convention. Big difference from "conventional" conventions?

FCM convention gives great bang for the buck. Multiple Gospel magic, juggling, ballooning, chalking, clowning, vent lectures to chose from during the day (probably the most thorough selection of any magical convention in the United States), lots of dealers, great evening shows. Then devotional sessions and late night programs on top of that. The FCM convention is my favorite of all conventions-and I have been to many all over the country. The only reason I missed this year was due to a missions trip scheduling conflict that I had. I am going on the same missions trip next year which begins on July 5- hopefully the 2015 FCM convention dates will be later? The 2015 dates not yet posted at www.FCM.org

I've been to five conventions (3 in the UK, two in the USA) and the main differences between FCM and other Conventions are:-
focus on faith based tricks acts of worship importance of prayers wide range of creative arts covered the Late Show (one of a kind in the USA) coming together of magicians/creative artists AND casual performers who are Ministers/Preachers (some of us cover both categories but not many) I also think we get guaranteed to see top performers who can deliver teaching that we can use in our own Ministry AND entertain us.
Have wand will travel! Performing children's magic in the UK for Winter 2014 and Spring 2015.

Wow! Those responses make me anxious to attend something like that. Can't go wrong around a bunch of people who are just trying to be good stewards of the talent that God has given them -- For His Glory!
