The problem in Asia is that cans will not take coins. Even Redbull cans have a small opening. I have looked at all the cans in many stores and not one will work. Great effect, I just cannot use it.

Hey guys!
Here's my detailed review: It is pratical? Yes! It is! Think about it, you need a setup right? They can do the setup for you, or you can do it, choose, it's so simple, and nobody will think about the setup! Do you carry a wallet with coins? Ok so you can do it. The cans? Well, where I live, we have some sorts of cans, and the cans I use are the false cokes, if you know what I mean, it's the coke cans but not the same trademark, and they have the same design than coke cans, you cn use redbull cans too, in the TNT show they've showed with a coke can but like a redbull can type, and works perfectly. It is visual? Yes, of course it is, looks like the trailer. It is Hard? On a scale of 1-10, I'l rate it 6, because you need to practice the moves, and the front angles, wich is easy btw. Do you need special shirts or a jacket? Not really, but Johannes come with a lot of versions, I think 3 versions with coins, and 2 with SIGNED coins, and looks very good! Am I satisfied? Yes I am. Overpriced? Well, I don't think it's overpriced, you get a lot of explanations, a big DVD, very lenght. Well, maybe 25$ was a good price but it's ok for me. I'm happy, yes. - Ceierry

Surely there are many, many different sitautions one could find oneself in? I've messed around with this. If Sinful is good for the 'real world', then I would say that Breakthrough is too. So yeah, be interested to understand your thought process Rasmus. |

I was surprised to see this too Carl, there are more than enough versions included that you'll definitely find one that works for you out in the real world. There's always going to be different tastes for different people! Thanks for putting so much time and effort into this release Johannes!

After watching the full performance and I owned sinful I say this is horribly bad and the trailer looked mavical.

I couldn't agree more. Simple explanation drawn out ad nauseum with self gratuitous added hype about how great the inventors are. You would think they invented the greatest effect ever. |

The TNT review that Nico draws our attention to is very informative about both Breakthrough and Sinful. The review and the other TNT reviews on YouTube are very well done. They usually show the trailer of an effect, along with a demo of the effect by the reviewers, and a detailed discussion of the pros and cons of the effect in real performing conditions. What a great resource these reviews are. Thanks, Nico.

I also think it's a real world effect and clean up is amazing (simple and stunning)! It just makes everything whole.
So I don't agree with rasmus at all. It works very well in the real world, no downsides at all! If you practice this enough how can you expose the secret? Know about angles, know you're clean up and you are good to go! I practiced for two weeks now (its just fun) and it kills. Also liked the intro: likeable guys. Maybe they're underestimated community members who were just looking for a quick fix and don't care about passion anymore.. Go on Brothers! |

Been practicing this for a while now.
Method is really good and practical and can be done surrounded. And no need to compare it with the Sinful by Wayne as its different in many aspects. Overall great effect- 8/10. |

Johannes has been listening to a lot of the questions people have been asking since Breakthrough was released and has included a great video here http://www.ellusionist.com/breakthrough-......gel.html that answers a lot of these. Also around the 1:35 mark he performs the effect 3 times from various angles to give you a better idea of just how good this looks.
Great stuff from one of the good guys in magic! |

I just bought the DVD and love the work and thinking behind this effect. Well done Mengel Bros. The method looks totally real-world to me and I look forward to rehearsing this and having an ANY TIME routine which is a real fooler.

I only can say this... the DVD goes very detailed and gives (wanted or unwanted) insight in a personal adventure... But!!!! and some more (exclamation marks) !!!! That 'Breakthrough' stuff of these guys ::)) is really really really a breakthrough!! Same class as 'Coin through can' of Wayne Houchin/ Chris Angel... and that says enough! Really, really do-able slights. Being a minus-minus-minus-grade-'magician'... even I can do it! And!!... this 'Coin through can' and 'Breakthrough' are not only of the 'same class', but also compatible!!! which is very rare in the magic community, which is about just somewhat different cards, or with just somewhat other paraphernalia... Just to the point: my HONEST judgement about this idea/release..... A VERY VERY VERY GOOD investment (investment with small characters... Come on guys!!!) Johannes & co.... Thanks a lot for sharing this VERY COOL effect!! Really appreciated!!! It is really G O O D !!! Being able to perform this effect before my friends, and knowing you're from Estonia, not exactly a US-preferred country (pffrrrr why would we care!!!) I just know I'm on the right track with you guys!!
