This is a review of Josh London's Flying Solo ebook. Since his book has been discussed in other threads here in the Tricky Business section, I thought this would be the best place for a review.
First, let me say that I don't know Josh. We've never met, and the only correspondence I've ever had with him was after I read the first draft of his ebook. I don't have any vested interest in whether or not he succeeds with his offering, so this is as neutral a review as you can get. I am in Josh's target market. Although I know quite a bit about SEO and PPC, I am by no means an expert, so this ebook was of great interest to me. In an effort to be completely upfront and honest about this review, I have to say that I received Josh's initial draft shortly after its release, and although I found the information valuable, I had one major complaint. The ebook needed to be proofread and edited. There were too many grammatical errors for my liking, so instead of writing a bad review, I looked up his number on the internet and called him. I expressed my concerns. He listened, and he promised to get a professional to proofread the book. A week later I received the finished copy. So this is a review of the edited version. Flying Solo is an excellent place to start for anyone trying to navigate the online marketing landscape. Websites, social media, SEO, PPC, email marketing, and more are discussed in this 100 page ebook. It's easy to read, and I read it from cover to cover in about 4 hours. Although I know quite a bit about the subject at hand, there were a few things that were new to me. Some things I had heard about before, and it was nice to be reminded about them. The rest of the information was solid content. This could serve as a refresher course for more advanced marketers, but marketers who are just starting out will find this information invaluable. I should state that I don't agree with everything that is taught in this ebook, but that doesn't mean the information is incorrect; it only means I have a different opinion. With that being said, I will be using a portion of Flying Solo as a guidebook for future online marketing projects, and I feel confident that the implementation of these ideas will be of great benefit to my business. There is a plethora of information that can help solopreneurs make money online. Josh gives you the basics in one easily digestible ebook. It's up to the reader to apply what is taught. For the asking price, this is a bargain! Respectfully, Lou Serrano P.S. You can download a free chapter at http://clickconvertprofit.com/sign-up/ |

If grammatical errors and a simple divergence of opinion are the worst complaints good job Josh.
Nice informative and pretty comprehensive review. This is cool. No cheerleader nonsense just honest non biased up front review from a dude who knows the subject. Good to see.

Thanks for the kind review Lou.
Having the ebook proofed was an oversight and I'm thankful Lou pointed it out as it never crossed my mind. Josh

I just wanted to say that I started reading Josh's Flying Solo book & it is fascinating & makes loads of sense.
I'm only a third of the way through it and went to my website to tweak certain areas in order to implement some of his strategies. Good stuff! |

Was going to purchase this book then discovered that the website its sold on doesn't allow paypal.
Whilst this isn't Josh's fault at all I find it a little annoying that I have to wait 5 days to have the money cleared in my bank acc before I can read the book. Looking forward to finally reading and absorbing this info though Josh! |

Hey Matt, I'm curious why you'd have to wait 5 days to have the money cleared? I think I'm misunderstanding your post lol.
I use Gumroad for online purchases and once you pay you receive the ebook instantly. At any rate, I just PMd you and please feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Josh

Just PM'D you
For some reason the site I went to to buy your book didn't offer paypal. Paypal takes 5 days to transfer to a NZ bank account (which I assumed was what I had to pay with). But its all sorted now |
