The two-phased puzzle routine, "Thought-Slicing" was introduced at last year's Mindvention and made available as a custom kit, including the performer's logo on the backside of the 3' X 2' oval puzzle.

Well, I've now decided to make a limited run of Though-Slicing 'Lite,' which includes everything you need to perform the full two-phase routine, with a few items removed from the package.
The 'Lite' edition does not include the custom logo, carrying bag or easel (none of which are necessary to perform the routine).

As a result, what was $499 + shipping, is available for a limited time in limited numbers for only $199 (+shipping)!
As an added bonus, you will also receive the "Thought-Slicing" handling for the Mona Lisa puzzle, should you already own one.

You can watch the Mindvention Thought-Slicing performance video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5fEVLVxCzY which will give you an idea of just how clean this is (this performance is one of two possible scenarios, both equally strong & clean)!

PM me if you'd like more information on Thought-Slicing:

I bought Eric's Thought Slicing last year at Mindvention after seeing him perform it - and getting a fantastic reaction from the audience.

Me and another well known UK Mentalist snuck up to Eric's room and begged him to part with one of his signature effects.

As is typical with all of Eric's products (including his fantastic White Box) you receive a beautiful and complete kit, along with lots of detailed instructions and recommended subtelties.

I use Eric's version along with the original Mona Lisa, and Eric has definitely kicked things up many notches with Thought Slicing.

I actually voted "Thought-Slicing" the effect of the year in 2013.

When I first saw a demo of "Thought-Slicing", I immediately saw it`s potential, and the payoff has been huge. I have used it in almost every show I have done since I bought it.

The big advantage with "Thought-Slicing" over "Mona Lisa", is the scripting Eric provides, the forcing of the puzzle and the force of the puzzle-piece. The big puzzle-piece that are missing can be seen from the biggest stage. Also the colorful picture is very nice and good looking.

For me it is the perfect mid-piece routine, when I want to change the pace of my show. What I particularly like, is that this is a routine that makes perfect sense for people, and you actually involve the hole audience in the first part of the routine.
So basically you get two very good mind-blowing effects out of "Thought-Slicing". First the revelation of the puzzle, and then the match of the missing piece.

Eric has a very sneaky way of forcing "Spider-Man" on the participant, without them knowing it, and it dose not matter if the participant talks about the method after the show. (Works 100% every time).

And since he will stop selling this puzzle, it will be few people that has the same effect, and that makes it more exclusive for the owners.

For that price I would grab one before he is sold out.

I've seen this, and it's good. In case people are wondering, I don't exactly remember the other possibilities for the selection procedure, but I do remember thinking that they were just as strong, if not stronger—and, as always with Eric, consistent with the premise. This isn't a "hope I get lucky or my effect's not as good" type thing.

You'll use this.

Thanks for the comments, Gents!

Hey Travis,

Been awhile!
Indeed, you saw one of the first performances I ever gave of this routine....quite a few years ago!
Your memory does serve you well. There are two possible outcomes or 'paths' to the second phase.
In my experience, both are equally strong but I actually prefer toe other (second) procedure as it has some more entertaining elements to it!

I've also had a few questions about putting your own logo on this. The answer is 'yes,' that would be easily done at your end.
To reiterate, the logo isn't necessary but I always felt that the 3' X 2' oval on stage is a nice piece of branding 'real-estate,' so I have my logo in view the entire show until the time comes to reveal the image on the puzzle. If you don't have or want a logo, that's fine, you would simply cover the face of the puzzle until the time comes to reveal the image (which is the first phase of the routine, whereas the spectator on stage and audience members are able to 'intuit' the hidden image on the puzzle).

Happy to answer any other questions via PM.

Cheers,

e

I've seen Eric perform this on several occasions and it's not only a strong routine-- its both a major and a minor effect, it involves the whole audience at several stages, and the reaction for the spectator is a surprisingly emotional one.

And as Travis pointed out the procedure is disarmingly fair and-- dare I say it-- organic to the premise of the routine.

It's a great deal for anyone looking for a solid mid-show routine.

Congrats Eric!

A quick update.

I have not mentioned this, but there are a limited number of these available and once they"re gone, no more will be made available.
That said, at this point about 1/3rd of the available Thought-Slicing kits are spoken for.

Also, please do not order directly through the web site as only the $499.00 package is available there.
To order the limited time $199. special 'Lite' edition, just PM or email me.

Cheers,

Eric

My order is in. I saw this at MindVention and was very impressed. The handling was very clean and takes it beyond the typical method. More open and more impossible with the added reveal. Can't wait to see your lecture this year Eric.

This is the most perfect jigsaw effect one could imagine. If we were writing a screenplay about a mentalist who could really do this, it would be summated exactly as eric has designed it.

It's difficult to imagine how this could ever be improved, and at this price point will pay on one single performance.

I was lucky to have this early, and can't wait to get using it.

It's the best.

Appreciate all the positive feedback on Thought-Slicing!

A quick note about the video presentation - and I say this, by no means as an excuse, but as a caveat:

This is not a performance that I am particularly happy with (for reasons beyond my control) but given the number of requests for a demo, I decided to show it strictly to other performers.
Ultimately, it does demonstrate how clean & fair this routine is, which is why I posted it!

Secondly, as has been mentioned, this demo represents one of two possible presentational 'forks in the road' for the second-phase.
Both have the same 100% success rate and both are, in my opinion, equally strong. That said, the 'fork' that you see is the more likely of the two.

Finally, this particular presentation scripting is from one of my keynote presentations on 'decision-making,' and is certainly a lot more verbose than how you might perform it for a typical parlor or stage show, where the scripting can be cut way back and you can have a lot more fun with it.

Cheers,

Eric

I purchased the original, full edition, and was very, very impressed with the routine, the props, and especially Eric's customer service. The professional logo alone was worth most of the price of the effect. There was an issue with fitting the logo I sketched onto the back of the puzzle, so Eric reached into his own pocket and covered the cost of having it redone. That's not included in the "lite" edition, but you'll still receive a thoroughly professional, entertaining routine that fools. I'm not a mentalist, but the Spiderman themed puzzle worked perfectly within the demographics I perform for (children and retired folks), and the routine plays well as part of a magic act, if that's your focus. But you could also use Eric's ideas for a more serious mentalism presentation with other puzzles where you supply the props. His bonus ideas on the Mona Lisa puzzle do most of that work for you.

Sometimes I get upset when a creator sells a "lite" edition of an effect for which I paid full price, but in this case I'm more than satisfied with the value added by the full edition. The current price is still high enough to keep this out of the hands of the merely curious, which will help protect the integrity of the routine. At $199, this is a real bargain for a surefire routine.
Now appearing nightly in my basement.

Well, this is an incredible routine and I am excited to add to my show. This is the second of Eric's routines I have purchased, but have also benefitted greatly from his thinking and expertise both here on the Café and Pro Mystic forums. And talk about customer service...Eric shipped this out to me in Ohio on Weds and emailed me the manuscript to give me a head start. Exciting to delve into it and only drawback was that week he estimated I would wait to have the very large box of props in hand. Pleasantly surprised and excited to come home yesterday and find the box here in less than 48 hours.

Will comment further once I have had the opportunity to work with it, but in reading the manuscript and looking at the props supplied, this is an A+ winner all around.
