I have a good copy of Sonata by Tamariz, that I might want to sell.

Can anyone tell me how much this goes for these days?

From what I've seen lately, I'd say $175-$250.

Recent history on the big auction site...

A hardcover copy of Sonata sold on eBay on May 21 for $280.

There's a softcover copy currently on eBay, ending in 2 days. You might want to watch for its closing price.

There's one on eBay right now that's at $115, with a couple of days left.

When I see some of these high prices, it makes me wonder why more of these books are not reprinted.

True. On the other hand, the reprints would not sell for such high prices and would require quite a sales volume to make it profitable. Not sure if magic book sales are what they used to be. Moreover, I would assume that most titles only sell over the course of a few years, tying up a lot of capital that needs to be invested upfront.

Tamariz' The Magic Way was commanding even higher prices than Sonata and it was just re-released this summer in an improved, revised edition for a VERY reasonable price.

Presumably everybody wishing for a Sonata reprint has bought one, yes?

If not, here's the link: http://www.hermeticpress.com/product_inf......s_id=101

It will be interesting to track its sales success...

I have my copy of the reprint of The Magic Way on my desk... Beautiful and very highly recommended. And am eagerly awaiting the reprint of Sonata as well.

From what Stephen Minch said in earlier statements, it should be reprinted at one point, but that is still some time away (and that was said some ten years ago, so in "a couple of years" might be the right expectation).

Tim thank you for posting that link as I had it on my wish list for quite a while and did not realize that it had been re-released.
I really appreciate it!

Magic way have been re-released! I miss this one... I am in the process of selling most of my book collection, but for $47 I have to buy this one! (Been on my list for so long...) Thank for the tips.

I'm not keen on reprints and ebooks. We spend a lot of money on magic props and books and it's nice to be able to get something back from it when "you hang up your top hat" (or for the widows).

I'm keen on anything that helps more people do more thoughtful magic.

I own the Frakson edition of The Magic Way, yet I celebrate the Hermetic Press release.
