Hi Guys

Appreciate your thoughts on this , As Im drawing a blank .
Im attempting to locate a way to destroy a bill without burning it as fire these days is a No No , in theatres and restaurants .
Headache #2 is not using a paper shredder either , and also would rather not use a TT. hmm So what the heck is the solution to this ?

You could do a visual bill change, for a piece of newspaper or whatever, then tear that up into pieces for good measure.

I use scissors where I can't use fire.

I put the prediction into the top envelope of a pile. Then switch out one with a blank piece of paper inside which I then lick to stick.

I'm not sure why you'd rather not use a TT, unless everyone you work for knows about them. Even if that's the case, changing a bill to something else does wonders for taking the heat off a TT, more so than a straight up vanish.

I have some other thoughts, but it would help to know how you intend to reproduce/restore the bill. It helps to follow a logical path. As example, when I want to have a borrowed ring end up in a locked box (Lippincott, Nested Boxes, whatever), I apparently place the ring into a small container with a lid. In fact, it is stolen via a TT that was in the container from the get go. The illusion is further enhanced by the rattling sound coming from the container. This later proves to be a small key, which is used to unlock the box where the ring is then found.

Another idea would be to fold the bill up (about the size you would if using a TT). Then, place it under a small handkerchief for someone to hold. I'll assume you know the method.

I don't believe he mentioned a prediction.

A lot of this depends on what you are going to do with the bill. If you are going to restore it inside a lemon or an envelope, consider vanishing it instead. You could switch it for a piece of rice paper and eat it. Or you could switch it for some of that Dissolvo paper and drop it into a glass of water. The image of the bill needs only to hint at the appearance of a real bill, since it may not be in sight for very long, if you do this right.

If you can find one of those Roy Roth ring grinders, you can use it to grind up a banknote as well

I don't know whether rice paper comes in colors or not. You might be able to use food coloring, if you plan to eat the bill. You can also mime eating the bill.

Flash bills have never been convincing enough for me.

Remember, you are not going to show the full bill to the spectator after you fold the bill and do the necessary work. I can't go into more detail here because this is an open forum.

If you need to know more, send me an e-mail. Don't try to send me a private message, because it won't work.

They have shredder scissors that look pretty wicked and would make quick work on a bill

They look like a torture instrument, I might give these a try depending on shipping costs.

I believe that silk representations of a bill are available -- or used to be. Otherwise, printable silk is available from many sources and you can copy your own.

As Bill Palmer noted, the copy does not have to be very good. Once switched there are many vanishes possible with the ability to "restore" the bill at will.

.................

since "laundering money" is a common term you could drop the folded bill into a container of cleaning solution - some of which have "magic" on the label. Bill in, white paper out.

Likewise with an old "Money Machine" or Blotter. These can change a bill into a blank sheet rather than the other way around as designed.

..........

given the price of cigarettes, roll the bill up like a cigarette and pretend to smoke it -- using fake smoke if desired. Then vanish it using a variety of cigarette handling methods including a special Pull
